I keep getting emails about active content so thought I better actually do something about it.

Previously I used a £99 template, it looks ok and has done the trick but I now need to replace it due to these eBay updates.

Where's best to get a new compliant template?

There's loads on Google ranging from £99 to £who knows.

Anyone got one recently?

These guys https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.jarilo.co.uk

Don't take my word, read the reviews - cheap as well.

This is only an ebay recommendation not a web / seo / social one.

Not cheap and want you to use a off the shelf design with minimum thought to your business BUT they are popular.

No don't go with frooition!!!

I recommend weblegs, great little firm and run our website and made our eBay shops. Ask for Chris...

Chris will want more than £100 but will offer much more than a template.... very knowledge chap who used to run a large online business. He's the ecommerce brains and has several great designers and coders onboard - nothing off the shelf here like you'd get with frooition.

Failing that JusttemplateIT are good and have built 3 ebay shops and 2 websites for us in the past. Ask for Sean and tell him Russ sent you.

Alternatively drop me an email and I'll make an introduction to both for you.

I have used Jarilo for a number of years.

Cannot complain, any problem, pick up the phone and there is always someone there to speak to you.

One of the good things about Jarilo, is that they are adaptive and geared up for changes and on the ball, which is important with eBay who are constantly messing with things and putting sellers under pressure. As an example recently, eBay introduced a policy where you are not allowed to show personal phone numbers in your adverts. This was integrated into my template, a phone call later and within 24 hours the template was changed to not display the telephone number, for a measly sum. To do this manually, on a 1000+ listings would have taken up hours of out time.

Another example was the banning of active content in eBay adverts, which was sorted in a few days by Jarilo.

All in all, a very good company to deal with.

Reviving an old post. Solely as I'm looking at this issue now with my ebay store.
I contacted one of the companies suggested.

I'm looking for feedback here. If you went with one of these providers, what upturn if any did you notice? As when I spoke to the gentlemen who was very informative he said its very hard to put a figure on the impact of the template, shop front upgrade and general SEO improvements. So from experience, did anyones sales conversion rate improve?

The big ebay sellers do A/B testing listing an item with different titles to see what bites, now I know thats not what your asking but bear with me.

Mrs DSL had some spare time so I bought a few items to list on ebay (cycle safety, fits in a jiffy, goes through a letterbox, under £10) perfect ebay stock. I threw them up to start with just a big top of the description saying

UK SELLER - LTD COMPANY - VAT RECEIPT - FAST ROYAL MAIL POSTING

in big font then a few words about the item, no template, no shop, nothing and she is doing 10 / 15 orders a day across Amazon and eBay.

So long story short its not a huge deal at the bottom end but if I was buying electronics or something I may need after service with then I would look for a professional outfit and a professional ebay site OH AND use Jarilo tell them Dave from Velstar sent you ;o)
