Ta ;-) at the start of my phone adventure service mattered and we specialised in long range and multipack bundles plus small business systems. By 2015 it was price price price and second user stuff sold as new. However I am going back into IP phones and headsets this year.

Agreement in place

We have been playing about today, the main client was the flying saucer but looks like we can do Mentos, mallows and those rectangular chewy things as well. We also got a print on a rich tea biscuit but the brown was hard to overcome.

I think each sweet needs to be flow packed but this could be in 3`s not just singles - more playing over the week and I will work out pricing etc BUT I think the price will be overlooked from the WOW factor of the sweets ??

I cant sell calls only hardware hence the IP phones and headsets - and that is looking like a back seat if the sweets take off ;o) we should have a chat though.

Isn't the personalised sweet market already flooded. My daughter got her friend some custom m&m's for her birthday and I got my wife some printed marshmallows for Xmas.

PS. I know nothing a about business so I'm probably wrong

Can you print on mint imperials / after dinner mints? That might open your market a bit wider to the likes of restaurants.

I agree with the above, though, regarding competition and a flooded market. I too have bought personalised M&Ms, they came in a dispenser. You can do all sorts of customisations on their website including uploading your own clipart.

Rather than trying wedding planners / mums etc.
Just make up a display pack, and get a stall at a couple of local wedding fetes the ones that the hotels etc do to show off their facilities.

You will then get direct access to brides, normally about 70ish in a fete- and you'll be able to rate the interest.

In my experience (wife ran her own wedding business) wedding planners don't really exist in "father of the bride" style, and its the brides that do all the luxury must have buying. Also try to get preferred supplier status to the actual wedding venues as they often sell packages and could offer your product too.

Only M&M and Boomf / similar do it and thats a very limited market. M&M`s are very restricted as so small we can do a rich tea biscuit - mint imperial - mento etc and we can do 1 sweet but most packs start at £20

We have one large client thats virtually underwritten the machine time so we are looking at "other avenues" a long look online didnt show up anyone doing it as well as we can and as flexible.
The site with social and a bit of influencer gifting (!) should get us a level of business.

Ive thought of a wedding favour type product that is truly unique, cheap and that we dont have to stock - its a customised little gift for guests and I can buy it in Liverpool and get it customised on the Wirral.
:
First, I think we're very likely to hit a serious recession/depression in the next 12 months, so avoid borrowing any money.
It may be worth testing the market via eBay, with good photos in the right area you should get an idea of the appeal.

I know a chap who runs a promotional products company, might be something you could offer to him?
Can email you contact details if you think there's mileage in it.

Yes please - I've agreed web space with a fridge magnet chap and a wedding bits seller.
We're not borrowing money, it's not a major part of the business (I'm calling it the car fund) but if it makes a few thou a month we will use it for nice company cars.
We're putting a load of car brands on them and pitching speculatively next month as well - landing one dealer chain would be huge.

Personalised dog biscuits is both complete genius ... and proof positive that the end of the works is nigh.

Can you print vague pictures of Jesus on slices of toast? It's a niche market, but you could probably sell them at Lourdes and other shrines as a novelty snack.

Wonder if churches would be interested in selling advertising space on the communion wafers?

No problem. I'll do it tomorrow when I'm back.

We cannot do dog biscuits - I misunderstood sarcasm ! Whilst the machine can print them mixing doggy and man food is a big no no . However would doggy be a bigger market than human ?

I can't claim a sample of one is exactly statistically significant, but my mother in law manages to buy the most enormous amount of random stuff for her dogs. Personalised dog biscuits would be way more sensible than most of her purchases.

I'm probably not the best person to opine. I only got a married a few years ago, but I had no idea what you meant by a "wedding favour". It conjured disturbing images of a large, willing bridesmaid the wrong side of seven bacardis.

How about entertainment venues as a market? This is the kind of stuff I'd expect to see at various National Trust places, or indeed anywhere that years ago would have had rock with their name in! So that's just about any museum, gallery, stately home, or anywhere really.
