I've been browsing Autotrader for a Clio Renaultsport 200, found this one at a well known car selling chain.

Renault Clio 1.6T 16V Renaultsport 200 5dr EDC
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

What an absolute mess, they've literally photographed it as soon as the previous customer has handed them the keys.

4x badly kerbed wheels, pitted brake discs, seats all stained, looks like the red spanner icon is up on the dash... It's likely that the previous owner hasn't given a stuff about it. I can't decide whether the dealer here has been incredibly lazy or they're doing me a favour and telling me to steer clear!

Would you buy a car based on an advert like this?

I guess they wanted to get it advertised ASAP but it does make you wonder. I often wonder why dealers wait for you to do the deal before spending the money, I bought an approved used Rangie recently and it had zero prep....that doesn't make sense as the "promise" is that everything would be done...so why not do it straight away instead of making me wait 2 weeks after the deal was done to come out of the body shop etc.

That brand of dealer always does that.

Least you can see how the car was left.

The dealer is part of a chain that has an option to move to a dealer closer to you

Not much incentive for them to throw money at a car that they probably wont sell

Looks like it's been driven by bags of cement rather than humans ... and looking at photos 6 and 7 there's clearly a significant dent in the rear panel just ahead of the light cluster, unless it's another of those daft pieces of car design that puts arbitrary creases and folds at random locations all over the body.

Nah, that's just a dent.

That's shocking.

I hadn't noticed the dent, I was too busy looking at the mess of the wheels. At first glance I thought someone had polished the lips silver... no no, they're meant to be black, they've just been bounced off every kerb in Walsall. biglaugh

Read the reviews of the dealer. Clearly not a one-off.

How on earth do you manage to get a cigarette burn on the seat between the drivers legs?

I was thinking about getting a winter snotter, this was taking things a little too literally, although snot may be preferable to what it actually is.

So crashed into a kerb and quickly disposed of at a car supermarket, brilliant.

They are doing you a favour advertising it in that condition!

They're plenty of clio sport 200's about.

The search continues OP smile

How can that be a retail car? Got to be sent to auction hasn't it?

There is a wheel not missing in one of the photos. The stains on the seats are always a worry...

It's got wheel nut(s) missing from both front wheels according to MOT. God knows what else is up with it. It's had an extremely hard life.

I can't believe they're trying to sell that through their network in that condition.
