How long would the runway actually need to be if the final scenes if it was real?

I think they'd all be fairly dead long before that part of the movie, assuming any of them were even able to get through the first 5 films.

Of all the things to question, why have you singled out the length of the runway ?

The first film had a drag race which lasted 7 minutes and a lot of terrible acting, the most unbelievable part is how the franchise ever became such a success after 2 fast 2 furious was some how so much worse than the low bar set by the first film.

I worked with people who behaved like the first two films were documentaries.

It seems crap sells quite well if you roll it in glitter.

The runway length is equall to the number of gears in the gearbox wink

If there was any sense of realism with the movies, there would've been a hideous accident in the first 20 minutes of the first film, followed by the rest of that movie and all the subsequent movies featuring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in wheelchairs, dribbling into their spoon-fed soup.

I figured you had found the same BBC article as I did which initially states 26 seconds then goes on to correct that estimate to 18.37 taking into account scenes happening simultaneously...
