Just been held up by DPD export to Norway - slight embuggerence going on.

We've been dealing with the same customer for 20+ years, usually sending out a carton every other month via courier at <30KG, accompanied by a standard SAGE generated sales invoice (zero VAT, currency in dollars, etc etc).

But this last job has been held in abeyance as apparently our invoice is incorrect.

I am advised that we cannot show both the correspondence address and delivery address (which are different). This has never been raised before...

It's a bit strange - the customer is a large'ish distributor with 10+ branches around Norway, plus head office in Oslo. All payments are made through head office, and if they don't get the invoice, we don't get paid (ask me how I know!).

Using the standard Sage Line 50 programme throws out the simple invoice neatly detailing our name at the head, next the invoice address (head office) and at the foot the delivery address (branch). All very simple. But DPD say an invoice MUST only show the supplier address and the delivery address...which I think is wrong.

Anybody know any different?

Interestingly, DHL have a separate proforma invoice for "Commercial Invoice with 3rd Party Billing", so perhaps worth filling one of their forms in online and seeing what comes out?

So do DPD.

However we have been exporting all round the world including Norway and have always used our own headed paperwork which details separate invoice and delivery addresses and have never had it queried. We sometimes use DPD.

This mirrors my experience to date (20+ years).

Someone at DPD has their knickers in a twist.
