Guys, last year i employed someone via my Ltd company, who left last November.

It has since just been me (director) only.

However i have not paid any employers NI, as it is still giving me the allowance.

I understand i should not have this allowance as a director only company?

Does anyone know how to remove this? i can not find anything on the Paye software?

Or do i have to go through the ball ache of calling HMRC? (and probably go around in many circles).

Anyone had to do this?

Cheers

What payroll software are you using?

In IRIS there's a box you untick.

Directors NI Employers payment is calculated on a cumulative basis, not periodic as an employee. It is therefore possible that you have not yet got to the cumulative income level where you need to pay?
