What businesses every small town/ village needs
Discussion
Ok guys, I know that there are many of you out there that live in small towns or villages. So, my question to you is, apart from a post office, the odd one or two pennie sweet shops, dozens of pubs and garages, what do you think a small town. village would benefit from that has not yet been introduced?
I know it's a long shot answering this question, so I'll make it easier. What business do you think that YOUR small town/ village needs, and why?
Looking forward to your replies.

There is no money in a chippy and there is a local takeaway already that delivers pizzas and this is where the money is.
Depends where you live I guess. We have a chippy, well 2 locally. The deliveroo model does not work as it is too rural.
The chip shops see to do well. If their cars are anything to go by
I'm in a large village in North Wilts, circa 4000 people.
We have 2 social clubs, 2 pubs, a chippy, chinese, general store (one stop), vet, hairdressers, pharmacy, doctors and dentist, kebab shop, Indian take away, butchers and a Indian restaurant. We also have a nursery, primary and secondary schools.
What we don't have and I feel we lack is a a small hotel / B&B, a decent restaurant and decent public transport to the nearest large town (Swindon) and neighboring villages. I'd also like a local taxi company as taxis village to village are very expensive and this, with the lack of buses, leads people to ignore the drink drive laws. I'd also say we don't see many police! That said crime is low and the area feels very safe.
I moved here 6 or so years ago and get told of the 80s when all what i feel lack existed and is now housing. If you see it there are plenty of tradesmen locally and I try as much as possible to 'keep my money in the village' when possible.
There are several villages locally without so much as a shop or pub or even a bus service

I'm not sure it would be a viable business, but something for kids (teenagers) to go. Apart from hang out at the playing field if the weather's not too bad, there's absolutely nowhere for them.
One of our kids did an exchange visit to Germany and stayed with a family in a similar sized village to ours (2500 people). Village had a social club with a sort of youth club section attached. She said it worked very well.

Hairdressers.
This - someone counted recently and apparently we have 13 hairdressers/barbers shops in our town (10000 people). They are all constantly rammed! Not that it affects me
