Anyone tried ringing Audi Financial Services about the A4 and A6 deals that Lester1967 mentioned?

I just called them and they had no idea what I was talking about!

It may have kicked 500 pages but it was mighty convenient to end the last thread where it was ended....................................

Going forward I think the take home point is that people should be paying their agency fees and deposit by Credit Card and double checking the small print!!!

All seems so quiet in here now and decent leases seem to be disappearing by the day.

Why have they removed the box on leasing.com where you could search for a model and it would autosearch etc?

Or am I completely missing where this is now?

Unhelpfully, it is at the bottom of the search results, but isn't properly heirachical.

Someone in previous thread said:
this is my first vauxhall and i have to say not overly impressed. Touch screen no longer works, i have to use the voice control to select a radio channel lol. the car is very fast but it just feels all a bit cheap inside.

seat takes for ever to heat so youll probably be at your destination before ur butt gets a chance to warm up. the heated steering wheel is good though.

little bit thirsty on the fuel but i suppose you'd expect that for 200bhp
Apologies for not quoting by name, was hard enough across split thread.

I have same Astra, pretty happy with the power and comfort. I also have the touchscreen failure as of last week. I am sure it had a warning message about not using screen whilst driving that i didn't read and just clicked ok/tick to clear the message.

If I ever have enough time to waste I will drop by a dealers in due course.

I can't see that. I do get a table of models. The thing I am referring to was a search box you typed in, it then started to find exact engines/specs for the marque you had chosen.

Has anyone bought their car at the end of VWFS lease? Apparently I can now do this via BCA and get a quote 2 months before the end of lease.

I'm thinking of buying but depends if you have to pay the excess mileage etc.... at the end of lease and then the BCA quote on top of that. I'm heading for 10k over the miles so £850.

When I requested the quote to buy the car, there was no mention of any extra charges. Just ask VWFS. Also, compare the price to market value of similar cars. My quote was uncompetitve and in the end, car was advertised for £8K less on Autotrader but that was due to market being flooded with ex-lease cars.

Colleague bought his company leased Golf GTD at the end of lease via BCA last month.

Their opening offer was decent enough at around £13.5k, but he asked them a couple of times if they could do it any cheaper and I think they did the deal at about £12.5k in the end. Comparable car from a dealer would have been well north of £15k so he was happy. Car was on maintenance too, so he took it in for new tyres and brakes a couple of weeks before the transfer yes

I asked for a price on my 2 year old golf gti. It was over £21k if I remember correctly. Same cars in dealers going for £19k. I extended another year instead.

Thanks all, sounds like its at least worth asking them. Good to know they may move on price a bit too.

Hi all,

Looking to get into leasing for my next car. My mileage with a new job will be increasing quite a bit to around 16k a year in May. Looking to spend up to £400 a month, needs to have good mpg, so I've been looking at the 2019 C220d C Class premium or 2019 Audi A6 technology pack, any ideas welcome!

Don't shoot me but is a good rule of thumb to look at less miles but check the excess as it might work out cheaper(?) Thanks.

You need to do the sums both ways. Sometimes it's cheaper to add miles, sometimes cheaper to pay excess

Just went on leasing.com as that's the simple way to find a lease.

MB C220d SE 4dr 9G-Tronic
3+23
15k annum
375 monthly
1.1k initial
354 additinal fees
Total cost= 10,100

AMG Line Premium
6+23
15k annum
395 monthly
2.4k initial
354 additional fees
Total cost=11,800

In terms of Audi, its much more, basic spec costs same as premium MB and basic tech pack is near 550 monthly, with 9 months initial.
just did a quick search, hopefully this helps.

Asked VWFS for an extension (12 months, 8k miles) on my Leon Cupra 300 DSG fwd recently and they came back with £288 per month. I am paying £297 on 1+23. Like the car, but at this price it will have to go back. Looking at Ateca Cupra (too expensive at the moment) or new RAV4 (for about the same money as Leon.)

Try Alphabet, they're owned by BMW and seem to do more lease deals geared towards business/cash allowance users. I'd also speak to some of the large BMW dealerships such as Sytner and speak to the fleet guys there and see what deals they can do
