Apple Watch "Find My"

A simple question which I am struggling to find a definitive answer for.

Currently we all have our phones setup so we can see where we are.

Will an Apple Watch (cellular) report my location if my phone is still at home?

You’d have to set the watch as the device that shows your position. I’ve got mine set as my iPad (which stays in the house) so the wife can’t tell when I’ve gone to the pub.

I have a cellular AW4. On Find My Phone, the phone and AW both show separately.

But can your significant other find you with the Apple Watch if you leave your phone at home.

I am wanting it for running so my wife knows where I am.

Yes, it will work as you intend it to.

I have a cellular Apple Watch and it's possible for friends and family to see where I am when out on a run.
