UK Future Fund - Any experience?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of getting some cash from the UK's Future Fund?

One of the criteria is "it has raised at least £250,000 in equity investment from third-party investors in the last 5 years"
Just wondering if a Director's pension counts as a third party? In the eyes of the law, it is a unconnected party that has to deal on arms length commercial basis.
Probably wishful thinking, but you never know.
