Dropshipping/eCommerce Shop Business

Hi All, hoping for some advice on dropshipping and/or eCommerce shops.

Effectively I have been wanting to start something like this for some time and haven't a clue where to look for advice or a "how to" guide. Now that may seem strange as there is alot out there about this subject at the moment, however I'm a bit dubious about the huge amount of funnells out there.

I must get 5 or so adds a day from Sophie Howard via different pages on facebook and instagram regarding her Amazon Jet Stream Income book... The fact she's promoting it as a brand new book despite it being at least 3 years old doesn't help me believe its worth while trusting her infomation. Then theres CrepChiefNotify... the reviews tell an interesting story there too.

So... Has anyone on here set up a dropshipping business or eCommerce store? Would anyone like to be a mentor? Any advice welcome...

I'll be interested to know how dropshippers make a living, I can only see it being a race to the bottom on price. I know one person that does it successfully, but through high value machinery where he can afford to take lower margins, and he has UK exclusivity on certain lines to avoid price competition.

I'm an investor and now operational manager in an eCommerce store, but our strategy has been to build our own brand so we can differentiate and avoid (as much as it is possible online) dropping our pants on price.

My advice is that it's not easy or cheap to sell online, so be prepared to work hard and invest in growth. Go for something niche with reduced competition or UK exclusivity.

That's the other question, how do you find a product niche that hasn't already been found?

Also, is it worth while to create my own website via a webdesigner or use Wix/GoDaddy/shopify etc?

See my Dsliverpool tiktok thread, it’s virtually made for you. Pah funnels and systems it’s getting out there and finding products and opportunities. I set up a small e-commerce operation on eBay and Amazon to pay for the car, it brings in £4/500 nett with 10 orders a day some drop shipped.

In September I was planning an amazon, 2 * eBay (bulk & retail) and Shopify set up controlled with linnworks - I say was because I’ve had a better idea around TikTok last few days.

Find a supplier and I’ll tell you the rest for free.

Yes - use it as a feeder to YouTube etc you have specialist knowledge that will be appreciated once you put 2 batteries up your nose!! I see it being big on my life until Jan at least.
