Hi, so i need to resit my theory part of the test in order to renew my National B, on all the ARDS test days there's no option to just sit the written test, does anyone know if that's an option, or do you have to pay for the full ARDS test, written and practical anyway?

thanks

Talk to Pete Edwards at The Motorsports School (they’re on FB etc), this should be a fairly easy thing to sort out.

Which part of the country are you?? If you are in the North west, I can do that for you!

I am in essex, nearest track is Brands, just felt it mad to spend out on a full day when I just heed the written test completed - I’ll check that guy on Facebook smile

...... just looked at your profile, and I see you are in West London. Brands Hatch, Goodwood or Thruxton will be your most convenient, and yes, you only need to carry out the written part which should cost somewhere in the region of £50. Obviously, at present I doubt you will find anywhere that can carry out your needs for obvious reasons. Just out of interest, when did you last hold a National 'B' licence?

All tracks are booking ards tests mid March onwards so why would you think they won’t cater for just the written part ??

Had my license last in 2007/8 I think - Motorsport UK said I only need to complete the written part if I can show I have at least 6 race signatures - which I do

Eye test too - not medical

Another recommendation for Pete Edwards at “The Motorsport School”. A very helpful guy.

I called the Licence office and they said eye test and written theory test to get Licence back, someone else said i had another year to apply,so not sure, was good to go over everything as a refresher either way!

Seems pointless. Not the eyesight test, but a further written exam for an experienced racer.

I didnt mind doing the test at all was fun,and a good thing to go over the flags again ,its been a while time really flies,i just cant wait for the point when im hopefully sitting on a grid again will enjoy it more at this age,its just a bit of fun and i'm not going to put too much effort in this time around.
