Need some help.
Just been given an iPhone X.
Did a back up of my 8 on MacBook. Synced both phones and transferred all data using iCloud thing where you scan the phone.
Have plugged in X on to MacBook and its not showing, Iv tried multiple things but cant get the Mac to show the iPhone.
Iphone is running 13.1.3 Mac is 10.15
Anyone got any ideas on this?

I’d like a bit of help if anyone can. It seems Apple themselves can’t help me.
I have a 7+ and iPad Pro.
Background:
Issue is with emails.
Issue started on the last iOS update.
No settings have ever been changed.
Both devices show identical settings.
I can send and receive emails on both devices.
Issue is that if I mark a message as “read” or if I “flag” it, it won’t update on the opposing device.
I have zero unread emails on iPad and flagged some of them but when I check my phone, all the emails are unread.
It’s really frustrating.
I have 2 email addresses. One is linked to my website and that seems to work ok but no one emails me from that. The website is basically a brochure as I don’t pay to put it to the top of google.
My main email redress is what’s giving issues.
Any thoughts? I’m not tech savvy with regards to this at all.
Thank you

You've probably done this already - but signing out of your Apple ID on all devices and then re-starting/re-booting all devices - and then signing back in, might do it.I've had a few mail problems with Catalina on a MacBook Pro - this fixed them.

Probably an OS issue seeing as it’s only been available 24 hours. Try it in a different machine if you can

Not sure if I am understanding the issue but the iPhone and iPods should now show up in finder as a drive as well as a device in what is now Music.
So the phone shows up under USB under system information. But doesn't show up in finder. Its like what ever driver tells the phone and laptop to do stuff is missing. (I also tried using the old phone set up as new by using Mac. same issue. Can see it connected to USB port but won't talk to each other)
Apple have scheduled a call with an engineer to try to figure it out.

Where is the email hosted? iCloud? Google? Etc. I have a 7+ and iPad Pro.

I'll try this when I get a chance. thankyouI've had a few mail problems with Catalina on a MacBook Pro - this fixed them.
It's got much more difficult with Catalina / Safari.
I think Apple have changed the way adblockers work, as all my prior favourites (primarily the formerly excellent AdGuard) now install as separate apps and seem to have far less integration with Safari.
AdGuard used to be brilliant for selecting specific things to block (so my Facebook page was my feed and nothing else - no ads, no games, no market place), but much harder / impossible to do on the new one.
Have switched back to Adblock, but that's still the same.
So......using Brave browser, which has selective adblocking built in. Safari can rot.

Pretty much what I had as a working set have been rendered useless using Safari recently. AdGuard is better than Ghostery, latter which used to work and is now useless. Ghostery reckon they are working on it, the lite version is terrible.
Going to look elsewhere for a good browser as well. Apple are very odd, on the one hand they say they want to c be good at privacy then hobble anything that is.

So....having installed the latest its on my iPad 12.9 i have a problem.
I am partially sighted.
I have been using a keyboard from the app store as apple makes its ketboatd fainter with smaller letters with every new iteration of ios.
I had the choice of using an increasingly difficult to read apple its default keyboard or a non secure third party keyboard for passwords etc.
With the latest ios, apple have enforced the use of it's keyboard for passwords.
Except, with the addition of an extra line of numeric keys.
Now of course the keys are smaller.
And i can't read tnem.
That's the background.
1) Does anyone know if it possible to get rid of the extra number keys or use a different keyboard for passwords?
2) Thank you appke, you inconsiderate tossers.
Ps. Do apple actually test anything ?
I am using the smart color inversion.
It is supposed invert colors, except on pictures.
It has taken apple 8 years ad more to finally come up with a smart verson.
Except, it still inverts photos on eBay and amazon.
And the erratic screen flashing that color inversion causes isn't fun either.
Really doesn't help those with poor vision.
Ffs.

Hi all,
I’m getting a spelling autocorrect since iOS 13 and it’s driving me nuts.
Every time I type ‘more’, it changes to ‘kore’.
I’ve manually selected ‘more’ for several weeks now in the hope that it will learn, but it’s still the same.
I’ve also reset the keyboard dictionary, to no avail.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Simon
