The Windows/PC support thread
Discussion
Oh well, it's done. Now I've got to decide what to do about my about-to-be out of support phone. That's another piece of tech that works perfectly well however Google has decided to stop support of it (Pixel 5).
I wish we bought and owned phones like we do PCs - buy the hardware and install your own OS. I know that is possible but the options for "install yourself" OSes are about as integrated with the world as Linux is on PCs. I do have Linux machines here (I'm in IT) but they're not a patch on Windows for integration and ease of use.

A beer for anyone who can solve this, as I've tried most things and it's driving me mad...
New gaming pc with windows 11
Currently using Bowers and Wilkins P5 headset with the machine via Bluetooth
Using the pc in general headphones are fine (Spotify, YouTube etc) however, when I come to game with them I get intermittent issues with them switching off and disconnecting.
Usually it's about 10 mins or so and they disconnect, but it can also be sooner/longer and usually when I close the game.
Also doesn't happen on every game but warzone seems to be the worst and most consistent...
I don't have issues with anything else Bluetooth related.
Tried the power management options
Tried drivers
Tried running Spotify in the background to see if this worked
Made sure they are set to automatic on Bluetooth
Help?

I'm no expert but could the headphones be experiencing interference or trying to connect to a different bluetooth device like your mobile phone?New gaming pc with windows 11

I doubt it, I have made sure nothing else is trying to connect and again if it was doing it all the time it would be a lot believeable but the fact that it happens constantly just for gaming and for nothing else with general use makes me think it's definitely some kind of issue with gaming but I just can't work out what.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
