They're cheap for a reason. I had a similar model for about a week before I decided to sell it. Touch screen was crap, resolution is too low for a tablet so it looks crap. Various apps crash. Slow....etc etc. Most are based around similar SoCs so they're all much the same.
Saying that they do have advantages like the SD card slot, HDMI etc etc.
The Nexus 7 was announced days later and now I couldn't be happier, it's sooooooooooooooo much better and well worth the extra cash.
This is my only concern around these tablets, although all of the feedback around this one does seem very good. And it is 1/3 of a nexus, which appeals when it is for a child. Will keep an eye on opinions, be interested to see what their returns policy is like if not happy with it straight away.Saying that they do have advantages like the SD card slot, HDMI etc etc.

All the games I've downloaded run perfectly - Angry Birds, Temple Run, Bad Piggies, Where's My Water, and a dozen others, all flawless.
Really, genuinely, can't find fault with them at all.

Could potentially make great Sonos controllers... cheap enough to have one in every room at that price!
It could do, I might even order another one, just to see if it works with Sonos.Apparently the Adroid App hangs on the Sonos Wifi not the routers Wifi when controlling it. So if your Sonos kit is distributed (like it should be) then you get consistent coverage.

Seems like a nice wee machine bud.Ordered this morning so will see how long it takes to arrive. Proper excited, my first tablet
I've got an HTC Flyer 7" and my 11 year old daughter has been after one - this is a better price point for her IMO and still seems more than up to the job (YouTube, Angry Birds, Skype, etc.)

Is there anything a Nexus7 can do that this can't? Just for comparison.
Probably not a lot, but the nexus7 will most likely do everything much smoother and quicker due to the Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU/GPU. That said, I haven't used me of these, but I've got a Nexus7 and its superb RobCrezz said:

Mine arrived yesterday and I have just had a quick play with it now it is charged.
Wow, for its money it is amazing, easy touch screen, smooth movements, faster than the 10" thing I bought for my parents in June. That felt clunky after and iPad/phone but this!
If I didn't have iPads already this would easily suffice.
Highly recommended based on the short play I had before packing it back up to give away to the school fair.
