I've never seen android do that, very odd.

Given the other issues you are having is it worth doing a factory reset ?
It's been on my list of things to do - I think I will this weekend really

I've had the same thing happen a couple of times, it's annoying because you think "there was something there before, what was it?!?"

My latest gripe...

In the latest OS, I've noticed that the brightness auto control is not as good as it was - I've found it to be slow to react to light and when it does, the change transition is slow and jerky.

I'm liking this OS less and less...

Agree about the brightness thing. I mostly have to adjust mine manually since the update it's a little irritating.

It's still doing it.... I HATE it.

What it's started doing, in WhatsApp anyway, is exhibiting a delay in bringing up the keyboard sometimes....

I think a hard reset is in order

Can anyone recommend a screen protector that is compatible with a Spigen case? The three I have tried all press on the screen protector & lift it up off the screen.
I have one of these and no problem with it not staying but. I have managed to get a couple of marks on it but nothing that makes me want to ask for a replacement. It takes about 18 hours to "cure" and shrink into place but it really was easy to fit you just have to trust that the bubbles will just evaporate out.
I've got one of those too, it's fantastic.

When applying it, make sure you have plenty of time, decent light and you also need patience.
Hi, just found this thread - newbie S7 owner after recent cracking deal to upgrade my handset.
I have one of these screen protector too, and spigen clear PU case. Only been a couple of weeks but looks good so far - think you can also re-apply with original fluid if it does detach/lift.
Previous edge-to-edge plastic protector lifted straight away. Glass one was smaller (I knew before) but showed blurred lines on both edges of screen where lifting on curve.
This one is great - very slight lifting on extreme corners occasionally, but is covered by the spigen case corners so all good.
Really recommend.

I've noticed that charging times can vary wildly - I tend to try to stick to the fast charger, but I don't always have that with me. I've always noticed that in car charging can be, well, odd so this morning, the phone was down to 93% so I plugged it in - It was up to 100% in about 6 minutes... That can't be right, surely?

Just got myself a new s7. Love it. However already not sure about the battery. Have the brightness pretty low and apps in background to sleep. Phone was at 98% at 11pm. I went to bed got up at 9 and it was at 87%.

Is that normal? I was kinda hoping to avoid a daily charge with it but with daily use I can see that I'll have to.

1% every hour seems OK when on stand by. Do you have the "always on" feature enabled as well?

Check the battery stats in your settings to see what is causing the biggest drain. Screen use should be highest thing during the day really, not sure about the night though.

Can also download package disabler pro and delete a lot of bloat ware that comes factory installed. Should prolong the battery noticeably.

Lmao, so I've been scratching my head for months wondering why all my photos taken on the S7 look crap when viewed on my PC with the Windows photo viewer thing, turns out there's a setting up at the top 'enhance'.... it does anything but. This seems to be enabled by default for every single photo.

I got the manual official android 7 update that was posted on here a few months ago instead of waiting for the carrier approved version (BT). I'm having a few problems with glitches including one where I get a software update notification and then when I go to the software update screen it says my phone is up to date. The last security update was Jan 2017. Is there an easy fix for this?

Minor resurrection - My battery life has become laughable (at best). Yesterday, even with very low use, the battery went from 100% to 20% in just under 6 hours. If I don't keep it on charge, almost constantly, I'd struggle to get a days use out of it...

I'll do a hard reset soon, but it's comical that my phone is this bad frown

I really like my s7 but my only complaint is playing music over Bluetooth or using headphones. It's so quiet I can't hear anything, even on full. I've tried booster apps and tinkering with the settings but just can't fix it.

That does sound very poor. You may already know but if you go to Settings, Device maintenance, Battery. You will see what's using the power, you can "sleep" apps that are consuming lots of power. This will most likely stop the app from using the internet so watch out for ones that you need notifications from.

Exactly the same, from sat. I had to charge the phone 3 times yesterday.
