Battery life (6s+)
I’ve started at indicated 90% two hours ago, commuted into town, walked 20 minutes and bought a cup of coffee all while listening to an audio book, playing the odd game and messaging and browsing PH. Just a normal day so far. But I’ve dropped to an indicated 32%.... and it’s stuck there for the last ten minutes.
I think the Battery Percentage should be viewed like a dodgy fuel gauge in a car - you don’t really know it’s got that much left until it splutters to a halt

I think the poor battery life I was getting was due to Photos reloading all the photographs in the background. Appears to be better now. Not as responsive as 10 was, but I suppose that’s the price of progress.
I have turned Hotspot on then off and will see what happens. This is on a fresh install though so something’s weird.

Yeah this is what I'm seeing....sudden big drops in indicated battery %age - with no real use of the phone to justify them. On the topic of re-indexing - I would have thought that 4 days would have been enough time to complete this.
Certainly within the Battery -> Battery Usage for the last 24 hrs on my phone "Photos" is not listed as a battery hog...I would have thought that Photos would have seen the majority of the re-indexing activity?

Just upgraded to the new OS with purchase of an iPhone 8. Skype now crashes immediately on being selected. I see that there is a "business" version of Skype, in addition to the "social networking" variant.
Can any Skype users suggest a solution?
Very infrequent Skyper here, but I notice the app has an update today.....Can any Skype users suggest a solution?

With 11.0.1 battery is still gubbed for me.
30 minute commute, listening to audioboook, phone on power save mode.
Started with 44% battery, just arrived at work with battery at 21%.
.... and mine was a repeat of yesterday, so down to 32% again - the same figure I quoted yesterday, I believe. 30 minute commute, listening to audioboook, phone on power save mode.
Started with 44% battery, just arrived at work with battery at 21%.
So I expect 11.0.1 was actually little to do with battery....

Why not charge your battery to 100%?30 minute commute, listening to audioboook, phone on power save mode.
Started with 44% battery, just arrived at work with battery at 21%.
Anyway - in the 2 hours since I arrived at work, my charge is still showing 21%.....so maybe there is a battery calibration issue at play here.
