The fecking bluetooth and wifi buttons in the control center dont turn off either. Just disconnect from current connection.

I didn’t notice that, I was hoping that holding down on the WiFi would take me to the settings screen like it does in android, but no just makes it bigger.

Just tried to update my iPad Air 2, and it bricked the device.

Tried the update again, on a different computer, but that didn't work either.

So finally decided to 'restore' the device to factory settings, but that took 3 attempts over 2 computers to actually work.

Finally got it reset to factory, then installed ios11, and then tried to restore the backup...but now it's asking for a password to restore my backup and it doesn't seem to like any of my Apple ID/iCloud/macOS/iOS passwords!

I think I'll put off upgrading my phone until 11.0.1 or 11.1 comes out.

Password it was asking for was empty. Only found out when I pressed the enter key by mistake and it started restoring!!! Pity it didn't backup up my 23gb of music, or 1.4gb of ebooks. Guess they'll all have to be re-downloaded when I connect to my main computer at home - where all the music, video, ebooks are stored! I suppose Apple expect everyone to only be using 'the cloud' now, and so you don't need home storage/backups! FFS!

Might update my iPhone 7plus tonight, I'll update my iPad Pro too when I get a chance, my old iPad mini is compatible but i might hold off, it has been a bit slow recently.
There are a few apps I need to check out first, my iPhone doesn't have anything that I'd worry about losing but I think there are a few things I use on the iPad that won't be compatible with iOS 11 as they're still 32 bit.

Wow the camera now has a night mode that makes you able to see through clothes.

Done both an iPhone 6s and iPad Pro, impressed so far. Took 30 minutes to all both - not bad at all.

iPhone has original lines for signal strength instead of dots, much better IMO

iPad is where it’s at though, love the dock section.

I use the cloud for nearly all of my music and that keeps my phone from rapidly filling up.

Works well for me.

still no ability to turn off location services from the control centre(or whatever the frick its called)
a bunch of 'app' icons appeared on imessage (why would I want/need to open an app while in imessage???) I can remove most of them except camera and app store itself....grrrr.

I got a 'red blob' reminder icon on settings after doing the initial set up, telling me I had not completed Touch id/ icloud or passcode setup, no I haven't set these up, because I already said no to those as part of the initial setup!!!!

Not all that surprised that its all sound and fury, with little actual substance.

I have a fear of updating.
My eyesight is less than perfect.

Each ios release tends to make things more difficult to read.

I'm worried that if they make text any thinner/fainter, they might decide to make it invisible altogether.

Most features seem to be small things already implemented better/further in 3rd party apps and changes for changes sake.

It seems like Apple Pay is no longer much cop for me. As in it doesn’t work any more

You can add a text size button into the control center in the settings and then make the text bigger on the fly. Works well on OH's iPad, she's blind as a bat so it really helps her.

Back on topic, I don't really get what people don't like about the multitasking. It's just as good as it was - i.e. now you can either press the button twice as before and select whichever task you want (now you can see far more tasks than before which is good), or you can slide up and do the same. What is hard about that? The split screen is just different not better or worse, and for some reason on iOS10 I always used to accidentally trigger split screen when working near the corners of the screen (usually when typing). This isn't a problem now.

What is a problem is the keyboard entering numbers into my words when I haven't quite pressed the key straight on without 'sliding'. It's doing that quite a bit for me.

No worries about that this time. The typography in iOS11 is hideously thick and clunky.

Added to the wholly disappointing Files app, the shoddy slide-for-shift keyboard implementation and the generally ugly re-sizing of app icons and especially the dock, I'm really unimpressed by this one.

Well I have updated my iPhone SE, 6 and iPad mini 2 and all 3 suffer with the Bluetooth constantly connected issue ... which drains my SE as you watch it... loses 1% of power every 25secs (approx) marvellous!

How do you do that?
