For all those who get their hands on one on launch day.... let's hear what you think of them.

nobody is going to say...

Got it the other day and meh its rubbish, it will be the best thing since sliced bread for everybody who has forked out £999+ on it.

It will be interesting to hear people's impressions - there might be some negatives....

Why not? Assuming it was bought from a UK carrier or Apple direct, my understanding is that you have the right to return it within 14 days. I got an iPhone 7 + and did exactly that as I found it too big and not much of a step up from the 6s.

I've ordered it and pick it up tomorrow; I will hold on to my iPhone 7 during the return period just in case it's not for me.

I will report back tomorrow night; I might even do an unboxing video biglaugh

I look forward to hearing about it. smile

Also how restoring from a back up goes - my 6 to my 7 didn't work terribly well.

I got one. Nothing special. My Galaxy S6 had these features 3 years ago.

How's the face unlock?

It worked well in normal light and low light. But I don't like face unlock so disabled it. I'm a dinosaur and prefer pin unlock.

Surely you knew that when (if) you bought it ?! I wasn't expecting a response quite so enthusiastic tongue out

It should work in complete darkness shouldn't it? It uses infrared?

Face unlock was available on the Galaxy S2. I never bothered with it.

I'm happy with fingerprint unlock.

I don't think the old G2 technology is anything like the FaceID technology in fairness.

That wasn't what I meant, it was the concept of using face recognition rather than the tech behind it. It worked on the S2 but I couldn't be bothered with it, I don't even think the later phones have it.

It should yes

I had loads and I mean loads of problems with Vodafone. Went pretty much all the way to the top with regards to a bill that was issued in error for thousands. They sweetened the deal by giving me a free iPhone X + A new contract with 50% off.
