Hi all, I'm currently in the US and want to watch the Champions League final tomorrow.

I have BT sport but the app and website won't work due to my location. Is there any free 'hide IP address' which are any good? I've tried in the past but without success. I need to appear to be in the UK

Thanks all.

You don't want to hide your IP, you want to be using a UK IP through a VPN. Difficult to do that for free, your best bet is just to download AceStream/SodaPlayer and look on reddit/r/soccerstreams for the link. It'll be 1080p and work perfectly.

You can watch it free on the website or via the app.

I've been looking at using a VPN to try to go the opposite way (want to view the us only content on motor trend online.) Just wary of investing money in to a system that might not work. Anyone had any success?

I've used TunnelBear and it's always worked perfectly, albeit I used it to watch UK content whilst in mainland Europe.

This.

No pissing about with re-flashing routers - simple software, works well.

This was a while ago now, but to fool Netflix into giving me US content from the UK I would simply give my smart TV a US DNS address. Worked for as long as I can remember, I just don't have Netflix anymore. Might be worth giving your device a UK DNS address? Some can be found here :

I think the app (certainly Apple) uses location services rather than IP geo and is more difficult to spoof. The web stuff however works fine with a VPN.
