I hadn't, as I never use it, but it's apparently been fixed;

Thanks my search came up fruitless https://9to5google.com/2019/10/09/play-store-chang...
I'm gonna ditch Google Camera 7.1 from the Pixel 4 and roll back to the standard camera for the Pixel 2 & 3.
They fully removed Smart Burst from 7.x, which I used quite a bit, to replace it with that quick shortcut to video and also Top Shot mode. It's extremely seldom I ever record any video, and I know I'll never use Top Shot.
Little pissed they removed Smart Burst to be honest. I'll be switching off auto updates for the camera app if I think the P2 will lose Smart Burst in a future update. Or switching camera apps...

That's the bugbear I think. Google's phones were touted as having the some of the best phone cameras and image processing available, and the included storage of original quality images was part of that. It helped justify the higher price being asked for Google hardware devices. Now they've removed that feature from the price equation, leaving a different value proposition.

Also the offer is linked to your device not the account. So if you have a pixel 2 or 3 you are giving up years of itAJB88 said:
I'll have a play with it, I'm a big Pixel/Nexus fan only concerning thing I've seen is battery life.
Yeah me too. Battery is a concern. The radar is a gimmick and the photos storage are the things that worry me. Plus my three was replaced a few weeks back so is as good as new.
Got it out the box. Had a play. Face unlock is good. From a few quick photos the camera is a step up. Colours different to pixel 3. Used to pixel 3 though so it's a change. Long distance stuff far better.
Got the oh so orange and do like the look. That said. Give the loss in photo storage and £670 I'm very tempted to send it back.
If I didn't have a pixel 3 I'd defo be keeping it.

Some new features from Google for customising your device. Might be of interest to some, and in conjunction with the Rules setting could lead to less need for 3rd party apps in the future to provide autonomous actions and changes.
