I’m thinking about buying a 27” imac, do you think there will be any significant discounts over the weekend/ Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

Interestingly Apples prices have gone up over the last few weeks rolleyes
I doubt you will see anything happen to iMac prices, they rarely get discounted. Only reasonable chance you have is if you know someone who is in education as there is a discount via that route...
4-day apple event now on ... looks like a £160 gift card with certain mac purchases
Gave up in the end, was still cheaper to buy via Currys PC world than through apple even with employer discount & the £160 gift card! Bought the top spec non pro for £2049, plus a copy of office & a printer, so came to about £2150.

Was quite lucky as I bought it through the BA exec club rewards website linking to Currys, so got just over 11,000 avios points for that, and bought it using my new amex rewards card, so will also get 10,000 avios points for spending 3k on it in the first 3 months, (running all my daily expenses & fuel through it at the moment to bump up the spend). Plus my mate will get 6k points from the link he sent me to join, so overall will have “earnt” 27,000 avios points for a transaction I was going to make anyway!

Now just got to learn how to use a mac hehe

XBox One S Digital consoles seemed to be well discounted, dropping as low as £84.38 at one point which is crazy cheap.

Nearly pulled the pin on a new Note 10+ which had a £200 discount and a decent trade in scheme via Samsungs own site, but not sure a Note 10+ would give me £650 of advantage over my S8+, so left it.

Microsoft Germany - offer is over now though. Seems to have been a bit of a faff to get it to work, but incredibly cheap.

Mobilephonesdirect have the S9 for £24 a month, which works out at £9 a month for 24 months as sim-only for the same setup is £15 a month. It's not the latest model, but it's a pretty awesome deal if you can't cope without the daft notch on the later phones.

I don't understand why people buy the phones, it's worthless junk after the 18/24 months of contract period, so why not just change plan/supplier at the end of every contract and get the latest phone anyway?

Had my S9 for 12 months now, it's a very good phone. I've the previous S5 and S7 rotting in a draw. biggrin

I was broadly on a cycle of upgrading my contract 6 months after the new phones came out, so was getting the latest model at £30-35 a month, which was fine, but I smashed my S8+ to bits and needed to upgrade early, just after the S10+ came out, couldn't get it for less than £50 a month, it's actually about £32 a month or a little less if you're happy to do cashback now, which is a no-brainer, possibly a better deal than the S9 deal I took a few days ago.

I ended up taking a sim-only pay-monthly deal and bought a new Note 9 for about £400, it made sense to buy that then, though if it was now I'd probably just take the S10+. At the time the Note 9 was flagship and it's a great phone.

I planned to do similar for my wife, but couldn't find the S9 for less than £350 new, so it's quite a bit cheaper to just take it monthly. If the numbers were different I'd have bought it.

I take your point actually. +/- a few £'s either way and these days you're effectively getting the cost of the phone on two years interest free credit anyway.

Eyeing up the Samsung discounts with trade-in & work based discount (further 10% off) and it's still not much cheaper than a contract.

In fact one of the current S10 contract works out as £6 a month for 30gb data; doubt you'll get that on Sim-only.

First time in a few years that for most part there was not anything that grabbed my attention but had to get a house warming present for family and got a Neespresso Machine for £89 and then last night an add for noise cancelling headphones popped up on my tablet..

Having been after a decent pair for a while but could not justify the expense as already have decent headhones albeit not noise cancelling ..

Sony WH- 1000 XM3 for a grand total of 199 swiss francs ( which works out at about £160 GBP). The website said only 3 hours left and purchased last night - today have gone back up to 299 CHF.

Having looked on the amazon tracker they dont seem to have been lower than £229

Electronics are the only thing i find competitive here in switzerland,.

Has anyone seen any decent deals on iPads?
amazon had £50 off doubt you'd get more on an ipad they're not normally discounted
Looks like same deal is up again.
