I’m drowning in laptop options upto £300 for my daughter. Mainly for homework so nothing too heavy.

Best option?

Got some new 2nd generation AirPods with charging case for £128 with £10 app discount off Amazon.

Plenty on eBay but I suspect most are fakes.

Wanted to upgrade my workhorse iPhone 8 to an X but couldn't see any decent deals apart from O2 online having refurb ones for £399 but sold out.

Dell outlet, sort by price. Think they have a site wide sale on too because of CM.

Just posting this that black friday was bullst.

Ring door bell 2 and chime.

Black friday was about £145 reduced from £189.

Last week it was £189 as I forgot to buy it and went to but at £189 I left it.

Today..................

Black Friday has been a "thing" for about what, 4yrs in this country?

It was obvious from day 1 that it was bullst.

The internet has been a massive leveller.

Check out Sonos Beam..."£399" ahead of BF. £329 during it. Still £329 now.

Retailers are fully playing fast and loose with the regulations on sales and need kicking in the nuts over it IMO. But it's pretty obvious what happens regardless.

(Did it stop me buying a Beam? Nope, I "needed" one, so BF was a great excuse biggrin).

Read also "New Year" sales (now starting on Christmas Eve or before), ANY "sale" from DFS, carpet people or what have you etc etc etc.

Only worthwhile saving I saw was 20% off at Demon Tweeks / JJC race and rally stores on eBay, but even that was limited items and previous season stock. Anyway, cheap new race boots and suit

Firestick 4k's where just about half price...and the price seems to be back up to £50...

I suspect they'll be back to £25-£30 come Christmas Eve though smile

I've been looking into buying a chromebook for my mum, was going to try one out at PC world today.

The one i've been looking at is the Lenova S340, its been listed all week at £179, just gone online and its price has gone up £70 to £240!
It's back down to £179 today! Cheeky buggers are listing it as saving £120 as it was £299 at one time in the past. Went and bought it before they ram the price back up for the boxing day sale. laugh

It's crap what they get away with. When you keep an eye on something it soon becomes clear how often this goes on.

Indeed, i've been checking the price daily waiting for it to shift, looked yesterday lunch and it had gone down, no doubt they decided to try and shift a load on the last day before Christmas.
