Unlocking a Nokia 105

Found a barely used Nokia 105 in my drawer.

I tried sticking my SIMs in it (EE and Smarty) but it's locked to Vodafone.

Bought in 2018 from Argos thus Vodafone won't recognise the IMEI number.

Anyway round this? Or can anyone recommend a third party unlocked for a few quid?

Speak with Voda first. They'll need the IMEI which you can get by dialling *606# on the phone. They should unlock it for you if it's locked to their network and has no outstanding owing on it.

Other option is to try a local phone shop who will normally do it for 10- 20 which is probably more than just buying an unlocked, new Nokia 106 so I'd just try Voda first.

I had a look but the site made me jump through some hoops and then insisted that I downloaded some gambling game to continue.

Needless to say I didn't.

I got through to Vodafone who have told me to ask Argos.



Like that's going to work.

Shame as that's a wasted phone as I can always buy another unlocked one for a tenner.
