I ended up ordering a pair of TW3s from Amazon warehouse last night. Got messed around on Facebook and I had a decent amount of Amazon vouchers to use anyway.

I almost bought a pair of Jabra Elite 7 Pro but, like Sony, they use a bone conduction mic and they just don’t seem to be up to much.

I’ll report back when they arrive. If they’re not a decent step up from the Buds+ I am going to send them back.

Are some pods more prone to falling out than others? That's my biggest issue with them.

You tried going back to wired?

The sound on my wired £30 earphones pisses all over my Sony earbuds at 4 times the cost. Granted the earbuds are extremely convenient for the gym but unless I'm moving around I'll be going back to wired.

Probably. I did try and buy a couple of pairs off Facebook but none of the ones close to me had the different size buds and wing tips which I would want to get the fit right.

That is my plan if I’m not happy with the Sennheisers though. I’ll just have to put up with AirPods until I find a pair.

I wouldn't go back to wired buds for day to day now.

Definitely - one of the reasons I prefer the kind of twist fit ones to AirPod style ones is they are more secure.

I don’t know if you’ve seen these Greg, I haven’t used them, just spotted them when I was buying more tips.

I looked at those for my regular AirPods but don’t think the wings fit in the case.

Maybe different tips would be a reasonable solution on their own though with the pros, which are a significant comfort improvement on the regular ones.

Ye! I lost my Samsung Buds 2 so replaced them with the Pro 2. The cheaper Buds 2 never fell out...the Pro's seem to! (Granted, when running)

The TW3 are excellent. I’m genuinely amazed by the SQ. they also block out a screaming baby at 3am. My only issue is they sometimes dislodge when laughing. So some podcasts are out!

Bowers & Wilkins have just released the Pi7 S2's and from what I gather they are the best sounding earbuds around. £349 though!

Any links to these recommendations? I can’t seem to find any.

Could do with some cheapies to replace my old JVC ones.

I’ve now ordered a pair of Linkbuds S as well. Not sure how I missed these. Significantly better mic than the XM4s and a smaller case than the Sennheisers which still haven’t arrived.

All from Amazon so not too worried about returning one of them.

Sonys should be here on Thursday.

My wife was bugging me with what I wanted for valentines day whilst we were watching something on YouTube just as they started doing an advert for raycon, so I just said get me a pair of those as I had lost my Sony's about a year ago and never bothered getting a new pair.

The sound quality is ok, they're Bluetooth earbuds so not going to be amazing but are more than enough for podcasts and radio. I'm getting a good 6 hours out of them each day and not having to put them in the case to charge, get about 5 meters before they start losing signal. The microphone is great on them, I work around loud machinery and unless I'm standing next to something banging away people can hear me perfectly, I think they're a bit better than actually using my pixel phone for that. The bit that amazes me with them though is that the only time one has fallen out is when I was taking a jumper off, I feel like I was constantly pushing my old Sony's back in before they fell out.

For cheapish work headphones I'm not going back to wired ones again, they're definitely not a couple hundred quids worth but they're miles better than the Chinese crap I thought that would turn up.
