Bought a 5 Series Touring (G31) last week and not able to add a driver profile.

Currently only "guest" is on there, I go to driver profiles, add driver profile, type in email and password but keep getting a password not recognised error message.

It works fine on the My BMW app, which recognises the car and the remote features work. I've tried logging in/out of app. Changing password. Same issue. I even setup the wifi hotspot on remote chance it needed that to connect but still not working.

Anyone else faced an issue like this/got a solution?

Already tried. Hadn't had this issue before and no idea what to suggest. I've contact BMW UK and awaiting a response but curious as to whether this was a one off i.e. likely something wrong with my personal account setup or car vs a server/BMW issue.

Got hold of BMW, solution was to use a different email address ie looks like some issue with their setup. Don't know if it was because I created the account and set it up with android auto etc etc to connect to the car before a direct BMW ID connection or whatever it was but new email = worked.
