My WIN 10 laptop did a windows update this morning and chrome updated itself too but the ublock origin is still working as of now.
That's good to know, I might try and reinstall chrome and see if it will allow me to install ublock origin because it has worked a treat for years. Meantime I've switched to Brave browser.48k said:

As I mentioned, UBO is no longer available on Chrome Web Store - a reinstall won't fix that. UBO Lite is still there and compatible with Manifest v.3; it works fine for blocking most ads.BrownEaredDog said:

A problem that persisted was videos not playing as the extension battled YT ads for supremacy.
Currently, Adblock for Youtube and Adblock Plus / Chrome is working. I DO briefly get a message saying "ad blockers aren't allowed on Youtube" but it disappears rapidly as one of my blockers wrestles it to the ground.
So, at the moment, so far so good.

See page 1 - just install Brave browser.
Forget extensions, it just works straight out the box. It's easy to transfer bookmarks if that's a concern.
I made the switch to Brave on my iPhone last weekend after seeing this thread. What a revelation. Wished I had switched a lot earlier.Forget extensions, it just works straight out the box. It's easy to transfer bookmarks if that's a concern.
It makes browsing the internet feel like it did years ago. Also like the fact it removes another of my bugbears - cookie consent pop ups

Thoroughly recommended
