USBVirusScan will launch any program you provide as a command line parameter each time a USB stick is inserted. I use it to start a full virus scan on the inserted USB drive, hence the name.
I installed a 160Gb external USB drive and the software that came with it was crap.If only I checked on here first it would have saved me a couple of hours.
This is a very good backup program with Incremental, timed backup and its also can create a .ZIP file with encrytion and can run in the background.

thumbup thumbup rating.

Control 2 pc's with one keyboard and mouse:

http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

Just uses IP; amazing bit of software if you run Development/Production boxes and want to avoid a KVM switch or multiple keyboards.

Ripitforme
www.softpedia.com/progDownload/RipItMe-Download-44816.html#download_locations

If you already use dvdshrink and dvddecrypter this tool is fantastic. It has not failed yet to allow me to backup anything i own. It uses Decrypter to take out all the nasty VOB files, can rip movie only if you wish etc. One click operation. Then automatically fires up shrink to compress the files.

Everybody gets so hung up on GIMP as a free alternative to photoshop, but GIMP has never been that user friendly.

If you want a good Image Manipulation App on Windows you can;t go wrong with paint.net

www.getpaint.net/index2.html

Needs .net framework 2.0 but that's no biggie. Hope his helps someone.

Paint.NET is good, but is Windows only. Personally I find neither GIMP or Photoshop to be all that user friendly.

pooter still works as well

Thumbs up for this - I'm pretty tight on keeping my PC lean and mean, but this found nearly a gig of junk!

Great piece of kit. Cleared 560MB from my system. Love this from the website: "CCleaner (formerly Crap Cleaner)" hehe
