Anybody use it, in the software agreement page they say its illegal to use the software?? and you have to agree that when installing it( I've Heard ) so why can u down load it then.

I am confused and ready for an onslaught from them there do gooders who have never done anything slightly wrong in there lives.

Use it too. Works a treat. Doesn't come with a load of spyware either.

Kazaa has the spyware - Kazaalite is a version hacked by someone completely independent and is 'safe'. The reason the 'illegal software' comment is made on installation is to cover the guy who hacked the lite version . In other words - "I created this on a wet Sunday but if you install it that would be very naughty"!

Oh, and it is very good!

Cheers

Yeah, sometimes it can be incredibly slow, but I just leave my PC on all the time, so a couple of days later it gets what I'm after, so it's no problem.

biggest problem I have is that people call films different things to increase their uploads.
I have 2 copies of ace ventura, pretending to be 2fast2 furious, and martix reloaded

The only reason that is there is so they can protect themselves from the actual Kazaa.

Use it, it saved me a fortune back when I had a proper internet connection.

Got Kazoom to speed things up and so far no hitches, (bar people misnaming files..). Wouldn't be surprised if I pick up spyware through that, but I regualrly clean my system anyway, (Spybot and AdAware just to be safe)..

Spyware is Internet jargon for Advertising Supported software (Adware). It is a way for shareware authors to make money from a product, other than by selling it to the users. There are several large media companies that offer them to place banner ads in their products in exchange for a portion of the revenue from banner sales. This way, you don't have to pay for the software and the developers are still getting paid. If you find the banners annoying, there is usually an option to remove them, by paying the regular licensing fee

Doesn't spyware also incorporate bits of software which track things like which web sites you've been to and so on ?
