Google Chrome Browser
Discussion
Add me to the install, try, uninstall crew! Firefox, IE and to an extent Safari have it right, by not trying to reinvent themselves.
I can't get on with Chrome's layout, and the bloody crappy object explorer/xml explorer thing that pops up on every page pissed me off within 5 seconds!
Back to Firefox...

Already installed and uninstalled. Very unimpressed, nothing beats FF3 at the moment IMO.
Mozzarella Sea Monkey is quite good.To be honest I don't know if there is any point in trying Google Chrome when it comes out for Suse - FF3 runs quick enough (with Suse 11.. have not tried FF3 with Vista yet)

. Tabs - like the way you can drag them into a new window.
. Incognito - not that it makes much difference as there is only me that uses this computer.
. The little grab handle that allowed the test box this message was typed in be resized (bottom right hand corner of the text box)
Dislikes.
. Tabs at the very top - I use objectdock toolbar, any more than 2 tabs and they are covered by the toolbar. In FF there is a setting that allows you to put them to the bottom of the browser.
Unsure.
. Speed - BBC seemed very fast, but local newspaper (http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/) slower than FF, but that could be down to the adverts etc that I have blocked in FF
Requirements.
. Some of the more common FF add-ons (pop-up blocker etc)
. Bookmark manager
. Bookmark window toggle

I actually use IE7 as my main browser. I'm a web-developer for a design agency (and have been for a while). Most of my stats show that 75% of people use IE, and that 2/3 of those use IE7 (the rest mainly being IE6). I find it useful to see the web as the majority of users do.
Naturally I also use FF, Opera and Safari for dev and testing on a number of platforms. If Chrome isn't going to play fair and adhere to the standards properly I'd rather it didn't exist! But it's early beta days so we'll see how it goes.
I'll give it a chance but if FF couldn't tempt me as a main browser I'd be surprised if this could.

So far so good - it renders well (as it would, with Webkit on board) and it takes up less vertical screen space than Firefox. It's going on my Advent ASAP
I've found my first bug, though - when you select a word in a form, then click the right-button on it towards the upper half of the selection (but still over it) it often moves the area of selection to elsewhere - most odd!

We share common concerns. There was no EULA to read when I installed. I've since cleared out the registry since uninstalling as well. Googlechrome was still trying to gain firewall access even after uninstall (subsequently denied).-

Perhaps my paranoia is reaching extreme levels, but I also run 'Track-me-not' in Firefox..

No ad blocker? No thanks.
And since google is mainly ad funded, who wants to bet it will be a long wait till Chrome gets a decent one?
Chrome is open source so shouldn't be to long before there are mods about - hopefully. And since google is mainly ad funded, who wants to bet it will be a long wait till Chrome gets a decent one?
It's definitely a long way from being a replacement for either IE or FF but for a light weight, simple browser it's not bad.
Seems to play Windows media, Real Player and Flash without extra stuff needing to be installed. Early versions of FF were a pain to get them to play embedded media.
I only installed it to see how some of my websites render.
The fact that without asking it's installed an updater which is now relentlessly trying to get out to the internet does not bode well. Why does the updater need to run in the background at all times - why not just run when it launches like Firefox does?
