C63 owners' meet with PH Fleet 507
Discussion
To echo the above, many thanks to Topcat Racing for their hospitality and enthusiasm, to Dan for organising the event and for everyone there for being such a nice bunch. Rev off was great, but mine felt drowned out next the the 507 that was suspiciously loud (was that you, Pittsy98?). No complaints though
Oh and I hope those that remained enjoyed my departure To the chap filming on his GoPro, I'd really like to get a look at the footage of my, er, tyre-warmup

I've quickly thrown together a few vids taken from my iPhone earlier today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn8E9nVOGPg&li...
ghibbet, here's my view of your 'tyre warming'.

Better safe than sorry, wouldn't want to make a journey with cold tyres!

Thanks all for supporting the meet and coming along, it was great to meet you all and I echo the statement that C63 owners seem to be a very nice bunch of folk. Group hug, etc... A big cheer also to Charlotte and the rest of the Topcats guys for hosting us. We're talking about doing a Sunday Service there some time in the near future so watch this space.
Two main conclusions from this event though. One, daddy day care and hosting a car meet don't necessarily go well together, though Junior T was very much appreciative of all the tyre warming and the rev off. The louder the departure the more enthusiastic his impression of it afterwards. Definitely nurture, not nature there! Apologies to all those I had to break conversations with to run after a toddler...
Second? I'm really, really, really going to miss my 507 when it leaves in a few weeks time. Grant's sharing my pain in this but I really have loved every minute with the car.
Better to have loved and lost, eh?
Anyway, thanks again to all those who attended, commiserations to those who couldn't make it for whatever reason and we'll have to do it again some time ... when I've gone out and actually bought one!
Pics, vids and coverage to follow on homepage next week and in final farewell report shortly after. That may get emotional...
Cheers,
Dan

Cheers Dan. BTW a little tip before yours goes back, and to other C63 Wagon owners who may not have done it, but after a long journey and before you switch the engine off, open the tailgate from inside the car (leaving doors, windows & sunroof closed) and give it some revs. It sounds seriously loud in this 'configuration'

Yes that was me in the 507
Your 507 was noticeably louder than others, especially when you did a Race Start. Result Thanks again to Dan and the Topcat Racing staff who made us all very welcome.
Great to see so many other C63's... and an A45 that sounded cracking (and popping!) as it tore off. A bright orange E92 GTS was nice to see too, sounded fantastic, even in the company of so many Messerschmitts !!!!
Looking forward to the photos and videos next week.
Dan, lovely to meet you and I could see it in your eyes just how heart broken you're going to be when the 507 goes back.

He's not wrong on that one... Wagons FTW! I may also have indulged in some 'tyre warming' for the camera before departure that had Warren wandering out and asking if the car had a line lock fitted. Obviously I waited until the guys from Mercedes had gone... From the arrival/departure of Paul with the mad 750hp Sagaris I get the impression it's considered bad form NOT to lay down rubber outside the workshop, hope the neighbours aren't too worried about the number 11s. Ahem.
Few pics below, 'proper' ones from snapper Chris to follow.
Cheers,
Dan
