Wow, I just got an email from my dealer to say the track pack can happen on my July build after all. Just when I'd convinced myself I was better off without it. (I'll take it).

I was at Mercedes Benz World Brooklands (my supplying dealer) at the weekend & they kindly let me sit in, play with & rev the beast they have there. Sounds fantastic. Not sure about the suede seats personally as worried about wear but the car looked & sounded fantastic!

They'll let you drive it for £565 too

Told mine is already built and has track pack / cage option so it's available for sure....

I have only today had confirmation that my car originally promised for May will actually be November.
I also have information stating that only 70 Right Hand Drive cars will be made available for the UK.

My dealer told me they believe no customers will be getting a GTR until June onwards........ mine is beginning of June build so hoping for end of June Del

How did they explain the six month delay? When did you place your deposit for the car?

So far (fingers crossed) there haven't been any significant delays (except for US customers who's cars are built but can't get them).

I would imagine that this chaps dealer over promised and is now back pedalling.

If this is correct I will be asking my dealer to return my deposit but in the meantime I have asked where I am on the waiting list and my dealer is awaiting a reply from MB, so will be interesting to see what reply I get !

I was informed by my dealer that MB were allocating 70 cars to the UK this year.

Been told the same, but out of those 70 cars, some are GTR and some are GTC's

I've also heard to expect 70 for 2017 allocation but I wouldn't be surprised if this reduces slightly due to supply chain constraints which MB seem to be facing with the GTR. In total don't expect more than 200 units to hit our shores.
