Guy I spoke to in Jersey had to wait a year for his ........does absence make the heart go fonder? Patience to hand over your £100k++ Cash

I think it would get prob 10-15k over list for the 1st or 2nd car but they drop in value like the rest of the range. If someone pays out way over list then good luck to them. I wouldn't. Very happy with my choice if model.

That's not true as the cars have not been released for 6 months yet let alone a year.

Interesting hearing a salesman tell my friend that putting it Sport+ doesn't affect the traction control as from my experience it's def more tail happy in S+ on damp roads when pulling away not even at a fast pace. The traction control does its job well though.
Traction control doesn't change when entering sport+ (only race) the reason for traction issues is probably the more aggressive gear changes compared to S or C triggering traction control.

Race actually feels much better when shifting near the read line as the sport traction control setting allows a little slip so traction isn't triggered.

I've experienced it quite a bit at sub 25-30mph & not pushing the car either. As we all know the roads are quite greasy which prob doesn't help.

Surprised you're using launch control when its not even run in.

I have my second trackday in a GTR (first in my car) tomorrow, enjoying the car but there are lots of niggles that MB need to sort out if its to be taken seriously as a track car.

GVE are a bunch of chancers with that 50thlaugh

As someone waiting to get my GTR next year, out of interest what niggles have you had ?

My car just arrived down under. It's gone straight to the PPF installer. He's making patterns that are missing in the library to fully cover the diffuser. (The upside down pic is unintentional tongue out)

He's telling porkies, patterns for the diffuser exist, my installer had no issues.

These are not issues with my car, more design flaws with the car in general. The most signifcant one is the poorly designed rollcage/harness/seat setup and the inability to turn off the braking assist.

I am not intending the rollcage/harness with my spec, so not an issue but MB should have got it right.

Could you remove the brake assist fuse on trackdays and refit afterwards ?

Investigating this, the fuse plan doesn’t show a specific fuse for this system. It may even be possible to block the system with tape.

Wasn't missed on my car when it went for a full wrap... Have you had the whole car done?.

This GTR has had its rear spoiler adjusted up. Anyone played with theirs?

Also quick question, how do you get full beam on at night? When I click my arm forward it says auto & no full beam, so I have to manually hold the arm back to put the full beam on. Must be a Mercedes thing......

Technically thats down.

Mercedes just seem to chuck these on, I've seen a lot of different angles from the factory. I've run mine flat and down on track, honestly can't tell the difference. There's absolutely no way anyone would feel the difference on road.

I would suggest setting the wing flat because it makes a better picnic table for coffee and bacon rolls.

Ok you mean down at the front I meant up at the back. Mine is def more level from the factory. Fair point if you've had it on the track flat.

lol re the breakfast table idea smile

You need to turn the light switch from auto to on, then full beam will work.
