The CL63 is still a classy car. And at £25k -£35k it looks like a car worth double that.

I would have loved a C63, however my wallet wouldn't stretch to one frown

The next plan was to try & get mrs I into a C350 coupe - bugger me, talk about hens teeth or rocking horse manure frown

Why not look at a C55 then?

Truth be told I'm happy with my Slk55 (albeit an oldie). Mrs I likes the thought of a quiet petrol and the 350 isn't that much worse than a 1.8 coupe so it makes sense (in my mind) to take the 350. A 63 is several steps further (& shed be looking at 2013 or newer)

Pistonheads is a sanctuary for the C63 enthusiast owner, but beware of Facebook and it C63 pages. Less literacy ability than a class of nursery school children and a trend to buy the cheapest thing available and ask why it's so expensive to run / what options its got later. I'm amazed daily by the stuff on there and it makes selling or contributing incredibly difficult for the more keen, passionate driver. As much as my new Alfa might not be so hardy long term, it has an image that should deter such members of our society for fear of gaining an eductayion.
This x1000!

I am located in south Birmingham and the 'scene' around town is atrocious, luckily I work from home and rarely drive into Birmingham, when I do, I take the wife's Golf GTI.

I live in optimism that the fact I drive a wagon, often with bikes on the roof, separates me from this image, though deep down (and owing to the amount of ST and RS Ford cars that rush up to tailgate), I doubt that.

ecain63 - think you may be the chap I sent the screen shot to to assist with your disc brake sale - hope it went well...

IV been looking for a c63 for a few months now and although there are a lot for sale there is not many I would actually buy!

Looking for facelift coupe/saloon with <40k with £30k max budget either wrong spec/colours (think white to poser/under ground car park meet, not a fan of the red and have a silver car already so fancy a change) which leaves me with black, with full history all seem to be to far away or from dealers with dodgy reviews! Or I'm being to picky!

Did see a dark metallic grey one Drive past the other week which I thought was stunning but can't seem to find any that colour!

Also I think I'd rather buy from a dealer as would feel a lot more secure if I something went wrong i.e. Drive 100 miles down the road and engine goes pop what comeback do you have on a private sale?

Does any one know how to check the history on a c63 as I believe it's all digital? Can I ring a dealer with reg of car and they will provide the info even if I haven't bought it yet?

Narrowing it down to one colour choice might be a tad picky! Other than the colour choice I had exactly the same criteria and recently managed to pick up a 28K 2014 model for sub £30k - so it can be done.

Prior to purchase I chatted to my local Mercedes garage about upcoming services etc. and they were incredibly helpful, but I didn't ask too much about mileage history. A gov.uk MOT search will show mileage at MOT, although depending on the cars age there may not be much to show.

That's good to know also rang a dealer today about a black coupe for sale and he says he has print outs off all services which is perfect!

Seen a palladium silver with red leather saloon which I didn't think I would like but does look stunning if more discreet. I need to go out and few a couple as I will probly change my mind completely when seeing them in the flesh!

Does anyone have anything specific to look out for when viewing one? And optional extras they feel a must or some that aren't worth having?

I'm thinking of selling mine in the next couple of weeks, if you are interested.

It's a 2012 Palladium silver saloon, 34k miles, performance pack plus and the LSD, full Mercedes service history and still has over a years worth of Mercedes extended warranty remaining so no worries about any upcoming bills. Last week it was serviced, MOTd, and had 2 rear tyres fitted.

Hands down the best car I've owned, only selling as moving house.

Palladium silver is a beaut of a colour and is my first choice in my current search for a C63 coupe. Shame that 95% of the cars available are white or black. The rare palladium silvers do seem to command a price premium.

I agree there do seem to be a fair few cars for sale out there but I've noticed there doesn't seem to be much difference in price between dealer cars and private sales. I've called up about a few private sales that looked interesting on paper, only to be put off by the seller's lack of knowledge about the car they're selling and "full service history" that on further investigation hasn't been done every year/12k miles headache

Hi LLCoolK,

I too live close by (Walsall/Streetly), and often going into I get plenty of image-ruining people, but always tell myself its not a drug dealer car as its a wagon too lol.

Again I WFH a lot but try not to think too much about it, in the nursery car park, there's a few parents who give me the thumbs up and my wife often wonders if its me or the kids that go to nursery laugh

Unfortunately I still have the discs and pads. MB Newcastle decided to start pumping the PPP discs and pads out for £869 delivered which is below cost price. I assume Germany have a glut to shift. My £1000 cheap set is now a dead loss and even the revised £800 tag is plagued by the aholes on FB who immediately hijack the advert telling everyone they can just fit the standard discs and pads, which they can of course....... but why buy a PPP if you can't keep it on the PPP kit?? If anyone is looking for discs and pads, you know where I am.

The W204 C63 scene is embarrassing at the moment and selling my mint PPP is heartbreaking. I'm on the verge of chucking it to trade as the offers are better there than they are from the crowd in Middle and Northern England. I fking hate it! I'm sick of seeing people destroy a marque with the cheap, view that everything can be done on a shoestring during ownership (until it breaks, and then they go crying that the dealer sold a duffer or it's something that MB should pay for despite having no warranty) but won't accept anything but a FMBSH and all the receipts when looking to buy. Kippers!

I know this is a rant but I'm truly done with AMG thanks to the owners. I've enjoyed 3 of them in a row but I've had enough. I'm not the brightest or most highly educated fish in the tank, but if anyone here is looking at C63s I suggest they go browse Facebook for 5 minutes and take a look at what is being said, asked and questioned in the drivell-feed. It's 90% written in crayon! That's who you're mixing it with when it comes to resale. Funny how the same thing happens in certain areas when it comes to house purchase!

A Mb dealer has been selling the discs and pads for under £900 for a long time now and still earning a profit on the sale.
I own a c63 bs and meet up with w204 c63 owners regular and there is nothing embarrassing about it what so ever.
You seem to be in tears because you cannot your sell your car for the price you seek, the market decides the sale price not you.
Also it seems you were mixing with the wrong owners if they have put you off Amg for life.
Enjoying the Alfa ?

So far so good. I'm yet to see anyone refer to another owner as bruv, fam or ask a question without the use of correct punctuation and spelling. It's akin to how C63 owners behaved before the bar was lowered.

Were abouts are you based? Do you have any pictures and an idea of what you will want for it?

Is the c63 scene realy that bad? I'm sure there are some meets like after dark carpark types that have some embarrassing owners but surly not many?

Are there any c63 owners on here going to the next ss at santa pod?

Think iv settled on either a black coupe or palladium/tenorite saloon would be nice to see some in the flesh at ss!
