The new AMG GTC is a savage car if you insist. But it can be as docile as an A-class compact. In S+ mode - what else? - everyone looks at what's coming. Not for the faint hearted this one. A TVR with a star up front. Aston did a good job to join in with AMG as they do produce the best engines. Well, in the almost affordable category they do... I'd settle for an SL400.

Isn't that just the standard GT roadster? OK, it's down to Mercedes' awful nomenclature but the GTC is another variant altogether. Rear wheel steer etc, wider haunches among other things. Available in coupe or roadster form to add to the confusion.

Yup, you're right. I was the photographer and not the writer so I skipped the specs wink Thx!

A daily? I would be dead within a month. And if not, I would be in prison!

Funny you say that Dinkle because as I drive my AMG GTS, I refer to it as reminding me more of my TVR Griffiths than any other car. I'm referring to the sound and feel not reliability, you understand. smile

Lovely cars but I fear the GTC and GTR are going to kill the standard model. Just too plain looking in comparison to the more hard core specials.

You may be right but the four wheel steer versions (GTC Conv, GT C Coupe & GTR) are always going to be more money and deleting the GT & GTS would lose AMG entry level cars against 911's, so I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Look how many varients there are of the 911.....

Too plain looking? I'd pick an AMG GT over a decent specced 911. Ideally I'd be happy with a SL400.

Totally agree with that comment. That's exactly what I in fact did.
