Coolant Leak from E class 220d

My car, 63 plate, now has a coolant leak. I recall reading that this is a known defect; however, I would welcome any input from owners who have had this problem.

I had this on both my previous E250 CDi, and my current CLS 250 CDi. I was told there's a plastic elbow joint somewhere that cracks and then leaks coolant. Both cars visibly lost coolant from the header tank, and the E250 went into limp mode and the temperature gauge was all over the place. Both cars dealt with under warranty at the time. Easy fix. Strangely enough there was a recall for this, but it didn't stop it happening again on the E. From memory my CLS had it's fix at about 25k miles. It's now approaching 70k with no (touch wood) recurrence.
