C200 coupe sport vs AMG

Not a Merc expert. I'm an Alfa man. Feel a bit like a Chelsea supporter in a Millwall pub here. I'm asking on behalf of my 75 year old mum believe it or not.

What's the difference between these two cars if any:

Is Sport just a synonym for AMG?

I believe they're two different trim levels, one is sport and one is AMG line. The AMG line is the higher spec model.

Thanks, but I can't seem to find anything other than AMG line for C class coupe on the Mercedes website.

Maybe the sport they are advertising is a discontinued in stock model?

The C class has just been face lifted so maybe they've dropped the sport model. As you say it could be surplus stock.
