I have just had "Emission service required" displayed on the dashboard of my 2007 Vantage roadster.
Is this anything to worry about?

Thanks in advance

Common occurrence, nothing to worry about, just buy a cheap OBD2 code reader tool on the net and use it to clear the code, if it keeps coming back regularly it's a lambda sensor going bad, they are fairly cheap and easy to replace.

My 2006 V8V throws this code about once every month or so, I just delete it with my reader, if I start seeing it every week I'll get the sensor changed.

Johnny

you will probably find that with 5 or 6 normal operating cycles (start drive stop) that it will correct itself

even better if you can take it on a proper drive & rev it out a bit to clear the O2 sensors

but as above nothing to worry about unless a regular occurence

good luck

Best to get a cheap OBD reader so you can read the code before resetting the light if required. If you get the same code multiple times, investigate, likely an O2 sensor on the way out, I replaced 3 out of 4 on my 2006 Vantage over a 9 year period.
