Finally got delivery of my A180 AMG exec.
It was due in the UK end of July, was moved back to 08/10 transportation booked then delayed again for another week. Due to various logistical problems ended up with a relief vehicle from Merc. So today I have taken delivery of my new car & my relief car is going back today aswell. Happy days cool
Brilliant. Did it arrive on a flat bed or big transporter? Did you check the car upon handover? Any docs etc ?

It arrived on a transporter. I live in a village so he had to park up on a main road & then drove to me. Had 15miles on the clock. Checked it over, all seems ok. Had some dirty splash marks from the rain, he offered to get it washed but I declined as it would have ended up in the same condition! I drove him back to his vehicle signed his device for delivery. Jobs a gooden !

I sent an email copy of insurance documents early October & they hadn't asked for any more up to date ones. It was registered on a cherished plate, so unfortunately not !

How long was from getting your build date to delivery then?

Ordered with Nicky as well and just trying to get an idea if I'll get the car before Christmas.

He never gave me a build date to be honest.

Very interesting and great news! Have they sent you paperwork to extend or will that be closer to the time?
I assume closer to the time just an email stating will be same price as I'm paying 212 as had black
I emailed Holly/Aimee, reply was an informal extension for 6 months only, mileage pro rata
Good Afternoon Stacey,

The monthly rental would remain the same if you chose to extend the lease for a further year.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Many Thanks,

Aimee Riggall
Hmm, different people, different info

Hi,

I hope you’re well?

Yes there is an option to extend after your contract expires. This can only be for another six months.

If you would like to extend please could you let me know?

Many thanks,
I was advised that an extension would be made available, but no further details were provided. I am keen to explore extension options as the car feels good value at the price point we had. Ill let you know how I get on.
Decided to hand mine back a month early and go for the 420i deal, awaiting confirmation.

I'm considering the A250 AMG to replace my Leon Cupra next year, however I am a bit confused between the lack of difference between the A220 and the A250.

According to the brochure stats, they seem to have identical mpg claims, and only 0.7s difference in the 0-60 times. The A250 OTR price is £1k more but on PCH there are better value deals on the A220, so starting to consider if I should get a A220 instead.

Am I missing something or are they basically the same with the A220 being detuned vs the A250?
Going to answer my own question here but thought it may be useful for others, as I have just seen on a merc forum that they are discontinuing the 220 petrol engine across all models, so I guess they were confused as I was! I assume the petrol 250 engine will stay though.

Yes there is an updated price list for December and the 220 petrol engine is no longer available, but prices have been increased by at least £500.
The 220 was exactly the same engine as the 250 just in a different state of tune - 190hp v 224hp.
I was enquiring about the new shape CLA 250 last month and found that there were no stock 250 models in the country and a factory order was going to takes months! There was however plenty of 220, 200 and 180 models which I was not interested in.
It does not bother me that the 220 is no longer available because IMO power was very much on the low side for a 2.0 litre engine - with the 250 model having an additional 34hp and more importantly 50Nm torque.

Downloaded the updated brochure and prices last night. I'm the same as you, not bothered by the loss of the 220 as it didn't seem to make much sense. Pleased that smartphone integration is now in the exec pack however the twin 10" screens of premium pack are still tempting.

Yes the 10.25" instrument display to match the media display would make the Premium pack an absolute must for me on this point alone.....plus you get the bonus of augmented navigation, keyless entry(controversial but I like it) and upgraded sound system with sub and separate amplifier.
Ok its an additional £1500 but worth the upgrade IMO. smile

Mine was ordered by Nicky (based at AC Glasgow Head Office) via Perth Dealership. I emailed him explaining i was advised by my local dealer to contact dealer from where i got the car. He emailed me back the word document with email add where to email.

I can email the doc if you require. Have they given you your reg number?

Yeah I've been given my Reg number. Yeah if you could that would be great. I've changed my settings so you can email me via my username now
