I’m looking at getting an A class and I was wondering if you could help advise what the service costs would be ?

Looking at getting it over 4 years and not sure whether it’s better to get the maintenance pack , rather than going direct to a dealer to get a service pack.

Will be doing 12k miles a year - thanks for your help
If you manage the service interval properly you might get away with Year 4 service. Mercedes allows you 30 days grace period from the date service becomes due. Below are prices i was quoted for 3 Year lease:

Year 1 – Service A approximately £275.00

Year 2 – Service B plus replacement of the brake fluid approximately £501.00

Year 3 – Service A, replacement of the air filter and replacement of the spark plus approximate cost £422.00

I ended up taking service plan over 24 months for 2 Services and its only £29 pcm. Its cost me less.

I was quoted service plan over 36 months for 3 services again at 29 pcm.

You might need brake pads etc if you are going for 4 year deal which you can have them done from an indy.

Best thing to do is give your local dealer a call.

Sal

My company car is up for change. I have an A Class 200d AMG Line Exec on demo at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. Great handling and comfort balance, smashing interior etc etc

Here's the tricky bit though.
Company policy is
£30K P11D value - Very occasionally gets bent a bit
Max £500pm - 35k pa, 3+33 full maint inc.

I love the look of the AMG Line, and had settled on a 180d AMG Line Man Exec. But, The 200d is so much quicker, and as it is RDE2 compliant is cheaper for me on tax. I would have to go to a Sport model to get it under the £30k point.

I think I could go without the Exec pack. I'm not too bothered about the 10.25" screen as good as it is, and the 7" is still nice. Loss of parking sensors and dimming mirrors is a pain though.

If I could find a deal on a 200d AMG Line I may be able to swing it past the fleet guy / MD. Anyone seen any?

Not clear on the MB config if Jupiter Red is a standard colour. Any one know?
Hi Howrare,

I understand your situation but i believe AMG Line trim is a must have in my opinion. It does make hell of a difference in appearance.
Give Nick at Arnold Clark a ring see if he can help you. Most of us here got cars from Arnold Clark when they were offering very cheap deals.
Mind if its a factory order you after be vary you might end up waiting longer than your estimated delivery dates.
Jupiter Red if im correct is not available any longer. I think Polar White is the only free of charge color option going forward.

Thanks Nicky,

Your right about white, and having seen a few Sports today, I agree it has to be the AMG Line. Pretty sure our fleet chap is getting quotes from Arnold Clarke.
Cheers, HC and HNY

If you have facebook, there is a group on there for W176/W177 owners. Someone posted yesterday about needing a badge.

Finally got a delivery date for our car, looking at coming on the 23rd. rotate

Have been given a reg number, but doesn't look like it's on any system yet. Will have to give the insurers a call at the weekend

Hey guys I’m looking at treating the Mrs to a A200d or petrol version. Must have for me is the AMG line including the 10.25in screens. I normally buy my cars outright however I wish to lease this vehicle. Is there any suggestions where to look for the best deals? Cheers!

Does anyone own the A180 or A200 both petrol? Looking at either but want to know which has the best real mpg? Am I right in thinking They are the same engines but one tuned to produce more power?

Which would you all go for? I am looking for the best lease deal over 2 years for either and wondered which would be the best

Try pink leasing. They appear to have decent deals on saloon and hatchback

Hi guys I am looking to go for A class hatchback or saloon.

Offer I have seen for A180d AMG executive:l hatchback:
1+35
5k miles
£268 per month

Question is I have seen similar offers on A180 AMG saloon but for 18 months (which suits me better) but not the executive version.

Question is do most people here have hatchback or saloon? If you had to choose between the two which would you for for?

Finally looking at the spec I can see reversing camera is standard but can’t see front/rear sensors. Would you need to add the executive pack to get that?

Thanks in advance

I've got a hatchback through the Pink Vehicle Leasing deal last year. Given the choice i would get the saloon but that's only because I prefer them aesthetically vs the hatchback and don't see as many on the road.

Reversing camera is standard on the AMG Line but no parking sensors. I didn't look into the packs as the cars were "in stock" so can't help much there but I'm sure the Merc website or configurator will have the most accurate info.

I had my inspection today as car is being handed back start of March.

2 alloys were flagged up which will be charged at £109 each! A lot more than VWFS/Audi charge but they are the only funder I can compare it to.

I'll see if I can get the full damage charges matrix from them.

Thanks buddy. Prefer the look of the saloon too but not sure if I (and by that I mean the wife) could survive without front and rear sensors. A-class hatchback is working out £20 per month cheaper for the AMG executive version (including sensors/bigger screen etc) compared to A class saloon AMG - trade off being hatchback is lower mileage (5k vs 8k miles) which is fine for me but longer term (36 months rather than 18 months)

Does seem expensive compared to VWFS. Was it via Pink leasing? From what I have read they are quite strict when it comes to admin fees/fines etc, so might be similar when it comes to damages/inspection where their fees are quite steep. Would be interesting to see what others find. Maybe that is how they recoup some money after offering the "cheap" deals?

Ah ok. The rear cam is great - really high quality, sharp picture day or night. Lack of front sensors should be ok as it's a small car but appreciate it may seem big to others.

The only thing I would say is that Mercedes requires servicing yearly and it isn't cheap. I think its around £300 a service so factor that in when considering the 36 month option.

Yeah Pink Leasing with the funder being Close Brothers so I think its their charges rather than Pink.

They are definitely damaged and I have no issue with them being flagged up but it's just the charge is quite high when comparing it to VWFS but not when you look at the cost to refurb a diamond cut alloy which is always around £100. So yeah I suppose I should just accept the fact that this isn't VWFS and the charge is fair in terms of the market cost for such a repair.

That’s true. I have used VWFS in past and guess we have been lucky that they are quite lenient and under charge for repairs.
