I agree with that, on a run low 30’s is achievable...shame most of my driving is around town!! It is thirsty but it’s definitely worth it

I was pleasantly surprised to get 32mpg on a trip to Bristol from Essex, and same on the way back. Was a very comfortable cruiser, absolutely love driving it in all situations so far which is handy as it’s my daily !

Also, I have noticed people really like it, especially as it’s an estate. Guy in a brand new M2 complimented me on it at a petrol station and said he really wanted the c63 estate but his wife wouldn’t let him! Ha ha!! Also have ha da few comments driving through town, one man with his son said wow look at that! Didn’t realise it would get such attention

This is definitely top of the short list for my next car. I was just wondering how are people finding the service costs at the dealers? I've got Tonbridge Merc just round the corner from me.

Service A was around £250ish and I supplied my own 10ltr of merc-branded oil (cost of £40 from eBay)

Depending on your mileage it might be worth paying for the service plan that covers a fixed amount of services over a period of time at a given monthly/yearly cost.

Seems very reasonable. Cheers. My mileage isn't huge. 6000 a year or so.

Is yours the 7 or 9 speed and is it the C63 or C63 S?

7 speed, C63

I was wondering, on start up / cold start the exhausts are very loud, and then they quiet down, is this just the valves fully opening? Or as someone has mentioned before the non Sports Exhaust doesn't have valves...I was wondering if it's possible to have them open all the time, so you always have that lovely growly louder sound?

It’s a cold start to heat the cats and bring them into their operating window ASAP.

Secondary cat delete would get you somewhere near.

Yep, but most people just swap the catted pipes back in come MOT time, or know a friendly tester.

So how easy is that to do, so assume it's easily replaceable, doesn't cause any issues or engine management lights?

So they break the law
They think it’s ok for noxious gasses particles to harm people walking by/air quality.

I wonder if a higher % of those who “swap catted pipes” are more likely to be involved with the fast driving seen in Stevenegafe and similar?

That’s quite some cognitive leap you’ve made.

So, I had a little 'moment' yesterday which really shows what a beast / different drive it is to what I am used to! Trying to overtake at the last minute, up hill, only going around 30mph, i sharply pulled out and floored the throttle, the back stepped out immediately, maybe only 15/20 degrees, but was enough to shock me, traction control i think, snapped me back in line, i lifted off the throttle immediately, so combination of these things corrected the car...? anyway, it was a wake up call, the car is a monster and can't be driven like my other cars. The half day driver training at Brooklands could be a good idea, anyone done that, it's £1200 which isn't cheap! I have to add, I had been zipping about in my 911 Turbo before going tout in the C63, so my mindset was in 4wd mode, you can take such liberties when cornering, overtaking in the Porsche, the C63 feels like you have to be much more considered in what you are about to do!
