I forgot about this thread and haven't posted in it for nearly 2 years. A lot of things have changed since then on the car front.
At the time I'd put up a picture of my 1989 190E Cosworth, which has now gone to pastures new, due to most required things on it being sorted out in my tenure, leaving me with nothing much else left to do on the car. I also had a 2017 W213 E63S at this time but this has also gone, mainly to make space for the latest addition to the fleet: -
I picked it up at the beginning of October. It's a 2019 C217 S63 in Anthracite Blue with Saddle Brown upholstery. I wasn't convinced that these colours would go together but a bit of research and a lot of colour charting proved my suspicions unfounded. The first picture is in my garage, the last couple are at the detailers where it underwent a ceramic coating before it got any usage.
Unfortunately, due to a bit of a health issue and an awful amount of apathy, I've not really done a lot with it yet. In fact it's not quite got 700 miles on it at the moment which is rather embarrassing really as I was really looking forward to it as my first ever "brand new" car. Ah well, soon be summer.

Appreciate the comments guys, hopefully it'll be out a bit more in the New Year, at the moment though it's a bit upsetting to have it just nesting in the garage.

As an aside, if you want someone to rag the tits off it on the Continent give me a shout!
Surprisingly (or not) M deGalle, you're not the first person to have offered this service. I'll just leave it for another month or so, maybe put the battery on charge or just run the engine up for a good few minutes, daveenty said:

I hope that your issues are resolved and that you get to enjoy it properly; that is actually the only important thing. I'm totally unsurprised that others have also offered to use it on your behalf, but I have a CD plate and would be too tempted to test the priviliges and immunities, so it's probably for the best that you have rejected my (very kind) offer!
I've got very prosaic and boring in my old age. Having had a silver S124 200CDi for nearly seven years it has now become the shopping trolley at 130,000 and has been replaced with - another silver S124 C200CDi! Happened upon it by chance - Avant Garde model and only 15,000 miles in five years and quite cheap. I find them ideal for everyday use (I have other toys) but there is one thing that made me smile. The first is on 16" and the new on 17" wheels, and I noticed that the journey to the pub and back was now shorter. They obviously didn't recalibrate the speedo!

That’s nice. What’s the performance like?Nice drive, very comfy, can go from just idling around to full on sports madness at will.

I sold this after 350,000 very reliable kms and only £2,000 in repairs, half being a new aircon compressor and the other two injectors. I still see it around and regret that I didn't keep it for a shopping trolley.
I regret selling both 202s I've owned, especially as the BMW that replaced the first one (when it had only done 225,000 miles) was a candidate for the worst car I've ever owned.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
