My W211 E200 Kompressor estate.
It's supposed to be my 'sensible' option whilst inbetween Range Rovers but, frankly, I'm struggling to love it. It is a very nice place to travel in, handles well and isn't as dismally slow as 1.8L might suggest but the niggly stuff is irritating me.
It likes to tell me I have a bulb gone when I haven't, the parking sensors work when they feel like it, the rear washer has a mind of its own and it likes to occasionally tell me that my ESP/ABS and brake system are on the brink of imminent doom before deciding that, oh wait, no they're not.
Electrical niggles on a Range Rover I can accept - hell, I even expect it, but my old L322 was a damn sight less flaky than this!

I have one of these on my shortlist as a replacement for my 320d lease being returned early. Local one for sale, full FSH, loads of parts added, timing chain just done. Described as immaculate and from pics looks it. Avantgarde spec with 7 seat option which I don’t really need but no sunroof or heated seats which I’d like. It’s 2004 150,000 looking £1850. E200 1.8 but not rear badges.
No mention in ad of SBC replacement etc, did all prefacelift have it or just bigger engines?
Can more power be extracted? Any help appreciated.

I'd say that must be the thread winner. Daniel1 said:
I did that with my Subaru a few years ago with exactly the same result. Bloody things must weigh a Kg. At 100 my grill didn't stand a chance. Thing is, I saw it from over half a mile away and changed lanes to avoid it but it went for me.Captain Smerc said:
Birds can do some damage can't they. Many, many years ago I was in my track prepped RX 7 and a pheasant that I reckon must have been flying at over 100 hit my car. It completely wiped out left side light and indicators.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
