Wow. Beast. And with a Quaife diff too.....having come from S14 200SX's I always wondered why MB didn't put slippy diffs into the C43 at the time.

What's it's like in the CL?

Jeez...another one!

Can't say I've ever see one in that colour. They mostly seem to come in silver, black or, occasionally, Tanzanite.

The Quaife is great as long as there is some grip...i.e. not ice or snow...as it relies on a slight speed difference between both wheels. Both cars are awaiting a Kleemann remap...the blue car had a jumper wire to the ECU ( a harness clip may have broken) & its removal has thrown some CANBUS error codes which need to be cleared. I have a C216 CL600 which has the Quaife & a Kleemann map. The garage maintaining it at the time, specialise in Italian exotica (Simon Furlongers Specialist Cars) and when I asked how it was after the remap they just said that it was "mental". I suppose 750 lb/ft will do that. Anyway the purchase of these cars was my response to the advance of BEV's ...get them while you can!

The 2003 car is Chalcedony Blue (347U) a special order colour at the time.
It's sometimes called "Quartz Blue".

What a great response to BEV's.

To me, AMG GT aside, those two cars represent pretty much the peak for MB road cars. I'm not convinced that they really advanced much in any significant way after that.

Stunning pieces of engineering.

Now that is gorgeous. These 80s gems still drive so very well. A Bruno Sacco highlight.

My C63 AMG which I have owned since new from 2013, May do an build thread one day as the car has an extensive list of modifications I have done. I have started a build type Instagram for now though if anyone is interested @phil_t

I have started slowly to document the build which I still have loads to add when I get the time.
