SL 55 AMG Fuel Tank Baffle

Hi everyone

I've got a SL55 with a banging fuel baffle, does anyone know where I can get this baffle fix / modification done? I live in Hertfordshire and am happy to travel within reason. I've had some bad experiences in the past with fuel tanks so rather someone else do this one.

Hoping someone can help stop this banging in my head!

I've heard that the cheapest way is to go in through the fuel pump/sender hole and just bend the offending fallen off baffle and remove it through the hole.

Mercedes Benz SL R230 tank baffle repair/fix?There's a guy on eBay UK that can sort this out for a fraction of MB prices. He done mine in couple of hours and gives a good warranty. Check him out.

Hello from Stuttgart, I would like to say that it is important to make the repair of the tank (no replacement) highly professional. So no wire to use, nothing to drill, etc., but to fix the baffle - so it can not break again. We give a 10 year warranty on this repair. Tank replacement is unnecessary. The intervention in the body much too extensive !
