This is my twinnie. Bought it in 2006 to replace a 3l that suffered a catastrophic big end failure. Sold it to a mate three years ago when I was in a spot, then he gave it back to me after I did him a favour this week Those puppy eyes I've been making must have worked...
I know what was forming under the arches and rear sills/jacking points back then, God knows what it's like now... Haven't dared look yet! Fortunately my welder-ing chum owes me a favour, so unless it's really badly gone it'll be back on the road by Spring.

If it does look like too much work give me a shout as I'm getting the hankering for another 75

Thanks, Rijmij, and will do - it'll have to be *very* bad though, it's a Big favour I'm owed! It featured in Practical Classics a few times when I was a contributor, has an LE interior, CSC stainless exhaust, ITG filter, some polybushing already done by me years ago. Just had new rear discs, pads and calipers, too, so that's something I don't have to worry about fo a while! I've aleady brought it back from the dead twice, once after the original engine let go a week after I'd bought it, and again a couple of years later when it had all the glass kicked in by little scrotes when I left it overnight in a local village hall car park.If it does look like too much work give me a shout as I'm getting the hankering for another 75
I've also just got the Katalamakis bible back from another chum and pulled an old spare head out of storage...
Hi all,
Best idea for a thread I have ever seen :P
Here is my 89 Twin Spark track day car. Had it out yesterday at my local track (Hampton Downs) here in New Zealand.
Bilstein B6 Shocks, Eibach rear springs and an Alfaholics 29mm front anti roll bar.
Bliss!
Here are a few clips I have put together of the day. Uploading the rest now so will add those links soon.

That books on my Christmas list for the 164.
It seems my time may have passed with 75's as even dogs are nudging the grand mark now.... anyone want a kidney?
Hope this doesn't break forum rules (possibly why Mark didn't post about it?), but there is an excellent alfaromeo75 website with a .co.uk suffix. There are often projects for sale over there and it's full of valuable info.It seems my time may have passed with 75's as even dogs are nudging the grand mark now.... anyone want a kidney?

I'm on there already from when I had my last one, same moniker My old TS track car - great fun.
Youtube clip of a few laps at Oulton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92pn0Ta3Sgk
And my 3.0 road car. Both sadly now gone, though I am building up a TS engined Step front GTV - no 75's were harmed in the realisation of this project

On the greatest driving day of my life, Easter 2008, I did 30 tourist laps of the Nurburgring Nordschleife in one day. Over 600km of driving, flat out, had to refuel 5 times (funny seeing that on the bank statement).
Car was an Alfa 75 "prepped" by RSR Nurburg. The 2 litre 4. Great day - great cars.
Joel
PS: I did spin it first thing the next morning; damp circuit and was chasing a Dutch BMW and turned in late on the exit of Wipperman. Managed to keep it shiny side up and off the armco.
