Panda 4x4 Cross - I have serious issues.
Discussion
Nice pics, thanks. I had a 'new shape' Panda 4x4 in 2005, ordered new from the factory. We had a lot of snow that year and the thing scampered through it like a puppy. One of the few cars I wish I had kept after two years.
I did buy a four year old 1.2 petrol again three years ago as a daily driver and loved it to bits.
Total service costs over two years were two new tyres, and two DIY oil and filter changes. Terrific fun car to drive.
The current ride is a 2014 Grand Vitara. Very capable and almost as much fun, but every time I see a Panda 4x4 I get pangs of want.

Happy first Birthday to Chichi the Panda.
In for a service today. 1 year mandatory check + optional oil change so £132 all in.
Not bad for 6510 miles of motoring.
Love pretty much everything about the car and so glad I went for the various optional packs.
Gripes are limited to the clutch pedal rubber delaminating (my work shoes), clutch pedal squeak / twang and the binding rear brakes when reversing (looked at once before but now there's a fix).
I'd like a little bit more room for my left knee and I now agree about the dipped headlight performance so new bulbs are on the cards.
It's picked up only one stonechip and the silver rear skid panel took a clout care of a careless driver so is being replaced at her cost.
Overall, excellent car. Super happy. Good job well done FIAT

Thread bump...
I'm going to be accused of being mad, as I currently have an Abarth 595 Competizione. But going watching rallies, and getting into Mountain biking, I figure a Panda Cross maybe a better, more rugged car for those activities than the 595.
They look a terrific, and capable little car.

Old gf of mine had a base model 2wd one. Used to look extremely sure footed in the snow even with its piddly little tyres. Gave the mapped Fabia vrs I had at the time a run for its money as it could get anywhere without spinning its fronts . They are really well set up little cars.
That's because "piddly little tyres" is exactly what you want for driving in snow conditions TheFungle said:
In the end I went for a 208 GTi and being honest, I'm glad I did.
However, I have major envy when I see the local yellow Cross model driving about!
Good choice, I recently picked up a 207GTi and love it, from what ive heard the 208 is an improvement on it in pretty much every respect. However, I have major envy when I see the local yellow Cross model driving about!
Looking for an excuse to pick up an older panda 4x4 or Jimny. Love offroading but need to sell my Shogun as it is just to big and expensive to keep about. The residual values held by the old ones is astronomical though, struggling to find ones below £2000.
Update time. It continues to impress. No issues. I've added a third of a litre of oil since the service in January, FIAT released a fix for the rear brake noises, a recall for the ECU map & the pedal rubber they replaces gratis is like new 10 months on
Still tackles the bulk of the daily duties for both of us as it's perfect for our niece & nephew (7 & 4) and the elderly folk we cart around.
It gained a nice carbon effect roofbox today in readiness for our pre - Christmas Brugge trip.
Three of us (inc my 87 year old man) so will need extra space for some booze. Suits it too.
Also makes it a better BOV for when the Apocalypse comes
Brilliant car. Really excellent. If Fiat deliver on the 500X Abarth with 4WD it'll be replaced early in 2018.
