Very tempted by this - just wondering if anyone else if looking to order one or heard any info from the dealerships?

Very tempted. Will be interesting to see if they do any tempting lease deals. I think people will be reluctanct to buy these outright due to "unknown" reliability and depreciation...

I think manufacturers go either of 2 ways:

1) cheap lease deals or
2) They discount the car by a good 15%

I actually think this might be a better outright buy depending on depriciation which will be linked to reliability. In theory it is right up there with an M3 and C63 as far as I am concerned and a preference because its different in a good way!

No but I'll definitely consider the 2.0 petrol in a couple of years. I think they will be a steal! smile

Gonna stick my head out and say zero chance of a cheap lease deal. They will be much more expensive than an M3. The finance companies will be massively put off by the potential for enormous depreciation.

Just reminds me of the Citroen C6 when it came out. Glorious looking thing, drove well, more expensive to lease than a brand new S class twice it's price....

I fear you may be correct. Has there been any indication of when UK deliveries are likely to begin?

Given the recent Evo road-test against C63 S, BMW M3 Competition and Lexus RCF, it appears that the Giulia is getting some great recognition. I would not take a leap of faith and order one before seeing one, as for me the Alfa is an unknown quantity from quality and finish perspective and the £59k+ price tag would need to justify itself.

I do expect a 0% finance offer, as the website sort of alludes to that, however a discount for what is a limited number coming to the UK maybe a stretch. Anyone know any different? Maybe the 4C has set some precedent on that?

Owned German saloons/coupe's for a while now, this I see as something different with lots of character.

Vesuvio grey + carbon seats, with the teledial wheels please!

I have my name down for a QV in Competizione Red with Yellow Calipers, dark 19s, carbon seats, tinted windows, carbon steering wheel and black/red leather!

I'm just waiting for the dealer to come back with any deals and to see if my allocation can be completed. If it doesn't come off I am going to get an E63 AMG instead.

0% finance would be great if no deals are available.

Sounds very good.

Would you seriously let it go for a merc if you have to pay normal list price etc.. though?

I am an AMG fan so either car will be great!

I won't give up an allocation because of price. What I mean is that if I don't get allocated a car by Alfa UK then I will get the Mercedes instead.

Either way, I'll miss my C63 and that engine a lot!

Very interested but need to see and drive one.
My cls amg is running 730 Bhp + but I'm not at all a fan of the new merc stalks for gear box etc. And the iPad on the dash is criminal for a designer.
Am also interested in the new e class amg but merc have no details of when or what is coming here 4 wheel drive etc????

Ah, i see, you guys are only getting a limited number of QVs right? seems odd for Alfa to do, unless they actually take a loss on each QV, you'd imagine they'd want to sell as much as they bloody well can, now is not the time to be concerned about exclusivity for Alfa, just get as many people into your cars as you can!

Interesting how this will go, its getting fantastic reviews which the 4C hasn't had yet the 4C is an incredible car & appears really well put together. If I didn't have the 4C I would go for one of these. I had along look over the Diesel ( cooking ) version in Italy & it was a very nice cabin to sit in, I'm temped to say nicer than our SLK, really felt ergonomically perfect & quality excellent.

I'm guessing Alfa will sell every one they import initially so discount is unlikely & borrowing money these days is so cheap you wont pay much over zero even if Alfa don't subsidise it.

Personally I think whilst the Germans build mechanically great cars they lack personality & style. If this car is as good as the reviews it has to be the one to get if your looking for a decently quick 4 door that makes you stand out from the crowd in a good way . I've heard rumour the new powerplant will be used in a new Ferrari Dino being considered, if that's true its going to be a bit special & as I'm sure they will unleash a few more bhp in the Ferrari its going to be tuneable

Am i the only one already rather baffled with 500hp from a 2.9 V6? I mean that is right up there with the 340-350/2.0 litre efforts in the RS3 etc... which also rather impress me in terms of specific power output.

And honestly, if Ferrari make the new Dino a light sports car targeting the 911, it could probably even get away with a 4-banger, sacrilege aside.

CH likes it. Similar to M3/M4 just not as "polished" which reads more character to me!

TX.

Had a call from a local dealer here in Hertfordshire. They will be getting their demo model in October. They have no idea on the sorts of deals, as they have only just had a training course on the Giulia..

It just posted the fastest ring lap of 7'32s beating the new panamera Turbo.. So can't be that bad :-)

I have to say am tempted. The only thing to put me off is the godawful service fiat/Alfa dealers offer. I went into the flagship London store once to try the Abarth 500 for my partner and I came back spa upped by the lack of interest and knowledge they showed. I bought a Golf GTI instead. Which was replaced by an M135i and now an M2. So 3 cars that I could have bought with them (or not as they don't have much quality in the group aside from the Giulietta).

But it does look damn sexy. If I could have it serviced by Ferrari for the QV version then I would be tempted.
