Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - Anyone Ordering One
Discussion
I saw my first one in the flesh today in a showroom, it looked stunning.
I'm more than tempted, but I have one massive reservation and that's the very limited choice of dealers, as well as their quality.
I've interacted with two dealers this week and have to say they were both woeful.
I could not imagine spending so much money on a car and trusting these joints to service it etc
Have I got this wrong?
It's a concern for sure.

Its an Alfa. You get it or you don't. I'm not in a position to buy a new QV but I love the brand. If you're on the fence you won't be convinced to spend that much on one. If you're not sure buy something else that you will love. I'm more than tempted, but I have one massive reservation and that's the very limited choice of dealers, as well as their quality.

I have no doubt about the car, apart from the soft paint.
To give you an idea of my dealer concerns, the local dealer doesn't even have a car to show and, on my initial phone enquiry, the receptionist didn't even know about the car and actually suggested it was a Merc!
What dealers would those of you in the know recommend in the South East?
I don't mind driving.....I used to take my Evo to Brighton for servicing!!

Give Peter Williams a call at Thames Alfa in Tunbridge Wells - bought mine from him, very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. They have a silver one in the showroom to buy and a competizione red demo one. I ordered mine on 20 Dec and it arrived on 9 March. 3000 miles in and loving it.To give you an idea of my dealer concerns, the local dealer doesn't even have a car to show and, on my initial phone enquiry, the receptionist didn't even know about the car and actually suggested it was a Merc!

The whole "you either get it or you don't spiel" wears a bit then and is constantly wheeled out on the largest and rather partisan owners forum. Giulia is a pivotal car for Alfa and needs to win people over from the likes of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar and Lexus. The QF has an even harder task as it is pitched at price point way above where mainstream Alfas have ever been in the U.K. It's not therefore about "getting it" as this car has to win sales from those who previously quite obviously haven't wanted to buy.To give you an idea of my dealer concerns, the local dealer doesn't even have a car to show and, on my initial phone enquiry, the receptionist didn't even know about the car and actually suggested it was a Merc!

The sad truth is that the dealer infrastructure is nowhere near as good or as obviously premium as those competitors. Most dealers are multi franchise single site and so these cars are being sold and maintained by businesses built upon Fiat 500s, Puntos etc and sharing showroom space accordingly. Note this is not a reflection of the people selling the cars but instead the very hotch potch and in brand standards terms inconsistent approach to merchandising, sales training etc. You will though find enthusiastic salespeople and every dealer is supposed to have a specialist QF technician.
In short though, and given that you are coming from M cars, be prepared to be underwhelmed by the overall dealership proposition. Don't however let this put you off the car, it really is an absolutely brilliant drive and in my view more enjoyable than the DMS mapped F10 I had was.
I can recommend Motorvogue in Northampton. It's a pretty shabby site selling Alfa, Fiat, Seat and Suzuki but the sales team are knowledgeable and enthusiastic whilst the service team are responsive and keen to help.
Good luck.

Speak to Liam at Ancaster, Welling. They have a QV demonstrator. To give you an idea of my dealer concerns, the local dealer doesn't even have a car to show and, on my initial phone enquiry, the receptionist didn't even know about the car and actually suggested it was a Merc!

I've seen a black one in the flesh and unfortunately it was dirty (not mega dirty, just unwashed). As a result it looked tired and aged. However, when clean they look epic.
As someone that once owned a black E61 M5, I will never own a black car again. Nightmare to keep looking good.
For me the comp red was the only colour, but having seen a white one I could well have been tempted by that.
