Yes, the diesel Brera has a DPF (and it responds well to a DPF delete)
Mpg will vary greatly - I see some cars in the workshop with mid to high 30s, but conversely, my son's 159 diesel (effectively the same car) will happily return high 40s on a fairly traffic-free commute
The 2.4 is far less frugal - mid 40s possible, but mid 30s is more likely, especially if it's driven in town

I wonder if an AR 1.9 (150 brake) will fit in my 2011 Punto...
There was a 1.9 JTD grande punto (putting out ~130 horses, great fun), so engine bay wise, the room should be mostly there, although the punto might have vastly different plumbing around the intercooler/exhaust/turbo etc...Transplanting it will be a HUGE job though, and considering the punto was never sold over here with a 16v 1.9, getting it official on paper will be a nightmare

Keej - better save for a 150 brake 147 oilburner then
Probably a much more capable car then the GP too. There is a bloke in the dutch scene who has his 16v JTD turned up to ~270 hp (including water/methanol injection etc..), so the potential for madness is certainly there
